"The nightly entertainment shows were the highlight of the trip and truly well done. The beaches were just okay, and unfortunately the water wasn’t swimmable for our 8- and 11-year-olds, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the water slides were excellent and a big hit with the kids. The kids club is advertised for ages 12 and under, but in reality it felt much more suited for younger children. The food was better than what we’ve experienced at most resorts, which we appreciated. That said, the daily pool entertainment and overall atmosphere fell flat. The activities lacked energy and felt more geared toward a much older crowd, which made it less engaging for our family. Overall, we came away with mixed feelings. While there were some strong positives, it’s not a resort we would return to, especially since we travel to resorts twice a year and look for a more lively, family-friendly experience."

"We had an amazing stay at Privilege Aluxes in Isla Mujeres and can’t recommend it enough! The beach was absolutely beautiful—crystal clear water with no sargassum, making it perfect for relaxing and swimming. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special shoutout to Lalo at the swim-up bar—he makes the most delicious mixed drinks and is such a warm, friendly person! The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and we loved having 24-hour room service. The food was another highlight—both the Satay restaurant and the Brazilian restaurant were absolutely delicious. Check-in and check-out were quick and seamless, which made everything even more convenient. The hotel is also in a perfect location, close to everything, yet it truly has everything you need on-site—you really don’t have to go anywhere else. We would definitely stay at Privilege Aluxes again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Isla Mujeres! "

"Nice resort, beautiful 2bdrm suite and balconies with hammocks were great for our family with teenagers. Restaurant booking was painful, and with the buffet shut down for private functions leaves options limited, but they do offer 24hr room service. Limited pool/beach lounge chairs, have to resort to mercenary tactics to hold spots…don’t book excursions through onsite service providers. Staff and servers were great. Timeshare and spa sales were irritating. Resort credits are scarce and kept a mystery. Don’t bother advertising them. "
