The staff were very friendly and the facilities were very well kept. The food was great and I enjoyed the variety at the different restaurants. The kids really enjoyed themselves. I highly recommend this resort for family vacation.

Overall I had a great stay. The room was very clean. The staff was very helpful and kind for the most part. The one restaurant Davino was my least favorite due to poor service but the food was good. I was a solo traveler and they kind of sat me off to the side in the back. They forgot about me and never came to close out the check, after asking several times, I had to just leave. It was all inclusive so they just missed out on a tip. The spa was nice but the hydrotherapy was under maintenance so it was closed majority of my stay. I was able to use it one day and it was nice. The activity staff was awesome! Alfredo and his team did a great job with bingo, painting, and the walking tour to el meco. Over all great stay and Reuben was a great server at the pool!

I traveled here with my husband and 10 month old daughter. This was an amazing family friendly resort, they provided a crib and high chair in our room. The food was amazing, and the service was great. Our only complaint was that we booked the all inclusive package, but after every drink, and every meal, we were asked to sign a tab, where the staff would ask for a tip and automatically have the machine at 20%. If you didn’t tip, they remembered for the next time. The point of an all inclusive trip is to not have to sign for every drink / meal you get and you shouldn’t be expected to tip on every single order - we already paid. Additionally, the 20% was 20% of what it would have cost if we weren’t all inclusive, as you can imagine that 20% adds up extremely fast. I like to tip in cash, and we are good tippers - but it was off putting and awkward being asked to tip after every single drink and meal - I have never been to a resort like this. It also made us not want to to go to certain restaurants and bars because those staff members made it awkward if we didn’t tip 20% like it was expected - when we already paid the all inclusive fee. If this were to be fixed, this would have been the perfect resort!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa del Palmar Cancun. The best thing about this resort is definitely the staff — everyone was amazing, friendly, and always ready to help. The restaurant staff especially made our experience even better with their great service and positive attitude. The property is very clean and well maintained, including the rooms, common areas, and the pool, which was always spotless and enjoyable for families. The beach itself is beautiful, but the water was not as clean because of the seaweed situation. You can see the staff working hard every day to clean it, and they truly do their best, but there is only so much anyone can do with the amount of seaweed coming in naturally. Overall, we had a great vacation and really appreciated the hardworking staff and the clean, relaxing atmosphere of the resort.

5 stars across the board! The resort is absolutely beautiful—from the pools all the way to the beach. The service and food were truly spectacular. Davino was hands down the best restaurant. The entire team worked seamlessly together, and we had the pleasure of being served by Sergio twice and Angel once—both were exceptional. Martin and the woman at the host stand also deserve recognition for their warm welcome and professionalism. Every dish we had was beyond delicious. We were treated like royalty the entire stay. William and Luis at the pool were amazing, always checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. The beach server was equally fantastic—attentive, friendly, and always smiling. In the evenings, I’d stop by the bar inside the hotel for my bucket of ice and wine, and Edson and Carlos were the best. They somehow always knew what I needed before I even asked, and it was such a joy seeing their smiles every night. To sum it up: the best resort in Cancun, with incredible food and a team of people who genuinely love what they do. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful rooms, and very nice size. Restaurant prices are wild! Even if you’re AI they give you a bill, the steakhouse was $900usd for a family of 4. You don’t pay that but they expect a 20 % tip and it feels like you’re in a cafeteria! No pool chairs to be found. Didn’t love it…

I had booked a snorkel adventure to swim with the whale sharks, but that was canceled. But I was able to book at the resort a snorkel adventure of the coast of Puerto Morelos and that was wonderful! I also booked a hot stone massage, and it was one of the best I have had! My room was so comfortable, and my favorite placed to lay low was the beach amongst the palm trees.

The resort overall was very clean and everyone was kind and welcoming. Pools were clean and the food was pretty good as well. Only complaint was service in the morning it was hard to flag a waiter down for some water or a drink - other than that we were very pleased with our stay at Villa del Palmar

Very Clean. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Staff is amazing. Kids club is very small and kids over 4 or 5 probably arent going to like it. Not much at all for kids to do. No swim up bar is kinda weird but staff are pretty attentive to being you drinks by the pool and nothing on site for evening entertainment. Nothing for shade in the main pool. We did all inclusive but if you didn’t, the prices are pretty outrageous. Have to either sign for your drinks and food or scan your bracelet every time was a small annoyance. At check in they take a 10000-14000 peso deposit, so make sure you have some room on your credit card. I’ve never had to leave such a large deposit. Room key is on your bracelet which is awesome and you don’t have to mess with towel cards which was great. Just use as many towels as you want and exchange them whenever. Wasn’t much of an issue to get chairs beside the pool. Has a super quiet low key spa type vibe. If that’s what you’re going for then this may be the place for you. Overall a good experience with good food. Had an enjoyable trip but probably won’t be back.

Property was fine. Room was clean and spacious. Not enough pool chairs, reservations at all restaurants are a MUST before you arrive or you will not get a table. Tipping is very much expected after each transaction you have to sign a bill after each drink or food order made (even if you get the all-inclusive package) which is annoying. We observed many frustrated guests during our stay arguing with staff (front desk, restaurants). For the amount of money I paid in comparison to other resorts we’ve stared at in Mexico, it wasn’t the best experience and I would not stay here again.

We had an amazing experience at this resort! The food was incredible, the service from everyone was top-notch, and the all-inclusive experience made everything so easy. The rooms were beautifully updated, and beach access was super convenient. We had so much fun and will definitely be back!

Rooms were clean and tidy any time you come back to your room ..Staff was so helpful .on the pool or in the restaurant they treat you as their own personal guest. The environment was so peaceful and divin.. I love to go back to that resort again. If you really want to relax that is the place for your body and mind to relax ..Spa service was excellent.. I will suggest when you go first day to check in get the special deal for spa .

The room was clean and the staff was mostly nice. The seaweed on the beach was terrible and every day someone drove a big tractor back and forth but it didn’t really do much. The restaurants and food options were ok, nothing special. I didn’t appreciate being handed to a concierge right after check in when it became clear his sole job and purpose was to try and sell me a timeshare presentation with free breakfast. Why do I care about free breakfast at an all inclusive resort? The part that really put us off was the tipping and tab system at this “all inclusive resort.” Every time you got up from a beach chair or were ready to leave a meal you were brought a phone that showed you what your bill “would be” had you paid for it and then suggested a tip based on that. Because the resort is “no cash” I suspect that many of the tips I paid (again, suggested tips based on exorbitant suggested prices”) did not make its way into the hands of the employees. No wonder their effort was just ok. Just OK was the perfect way to describe it. The room was nice, but the all inclusive aspect is supposed to be relaxing and it definitely was not. PS- it’s a non smoking resort and when someone was smoking right next to our dinner table, the waiter just laughed at my 14 year old son for mentioning it. Stay somewhere else. We will next time.

Great place, we’ve been visiting for a second time. Multiple pools, kids friendly area, tasty food, very welcoming staff Only one minus - there were a lot of sea weed in the sea (mid-April 2026)
