- The isolated English-speaking Caribbean Island of Utila is one of the three Bay Islands off the coast of Central America, known as one of the safest places in the world. Utila is seven miles long. This unique location is world-famous for its scuba diving (up to 140’ visibility), the only location in the world for year-round whale shark watching, and ultimate sailfish and marlin fishing.
