「I am giving three stars because I expected more from the presidential room we paid for. While the staff were welcoming and helpful, the hotel itself left much to be desired. A major issue was the lack of hot water for showers, which is unacceptable considering the price of the presidential suite. 「Jonathan is the most accommodating person ever!! He was truly amazing and so welcoming as we arrived way later than we thought we would. However, all the staff is excellent. The location is beautiful, absolutely spectacular. The view from the king size casita on the second floor is breathtaking. Hearing the howler monkies is a crazy experience. 「The road in was atrocious, requiring high clearance (really- owner can give you a lift) BUT if you want superb jungle solitude with great food, this is it. Rustic, yes, but all you need is here. No AC, but it’s cool after dark and you can hear the jungle in all its glory. Super cool platform in a giant ceiba tree a must view (about 85 feet high). Cabins well constructed with nice beds/mosquito nets though, again, rustic. Howler monkeys galore, dense jungle canopy.」
