Basic but good staff make it better

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very basic, but I had everything I needed at the right price. The hotel is located close to shopping and restaurants.

Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly. The front desk does speak/understand English (surprisingly rare in Istanbul). Location is fantastic: in front of a restaurant hub, close to a train station to seaside. Front desk recommended a memorable night cruize (8pm-12am) with very local shows " Ottoman cruize".

Good location of the hotel

The hotel is located in the middle of the district so it is fairly easy to walk in any direction. 15-20 minute walk to the west and one can get to Metro Station (Red Line). 25-30 min to the east - Blue Mosque. Hotel needs renovations of the air-conditioning system.

The staff were helpful and friendly, the property itself was a bit of a shambles as seems to be the way in this area. Nails sticking up, rough around the edges, old fittings, shower mold, half working tv remote, stains, and wifi for the floor that in the room got like 1 bar, not enough to actually use. Only amenity that was nice was the AC in the room was new and worked like a dream. But it was £35 for the night. So really you get what you pay for I spose. Fine if you need a place to put your head down for a night in a cheap spot.

Thankfully I stayed at Grand Mark Hotel. From hospitable staffs, nice breakfast at proximity the famous sites in Istanbul. It is few minutes walk to Sultanahmet Area & Grand Bazaar. I have to mention Sherif & Firas for making my stay memorable. If one day I come back to Turkey I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Busy Hotel

Very busy hotel during the peak season, arrived with confirmed booking to find the hotel is fully occupied and no rooms left for us. We were transferred to another hotel for two nights. The rooms are small and in need of urgent renovation, beds are not comfortable, breakfast is the same everyday, not much varieties.

family friendly, pet ready, clean and simple

Excellent place particularly if you have a pet you are traveling with. Situated in the heart of great local shopping, delicious local fare, and generally fun atmosphere. Staff went out of their way to ensure our family enjoyed the stay and had all the assistance we needed (airport shuttle scheduling, luggage storage, early morning meal before our flight took off at the end of our stay.) I give this place a thumbs up and would definitely choose this place again. If you have a pet in your room just inform the staff not to enter the room and they'll make sure your furry friend stays secure :-)

Nice hotel at center location

location of the hotel is at center position. Biyazat Tram station and Yanikapi Metro station is also available at a walking distance from the hotel. Hotel staff is helpful and provided accurate information of places to visit and commutation information. Nice place to check in and sleep after a long day of visiting places.
