Great hotel!!! We booked the ocean view room and it was just perfect. The installation in general it’s very elegant. The place it’s just a few minutes walking to the Hagai Sophia, the blue Mosque, restaurants and many shopping stores. You can’t go wrong choosing this hotel. It was the perfect choice for me!!

Don’t park your car here unless you want dents

The reason for the overal poor rating is due to our car having multiple door dents that resulted within the hotel parking grounds. So if you have a nice or newer car with no dents we would not recommend parking here. They need to incorporate valet parking to avoid this. Guests were careless obviously and now repairing the door dents (5 new ones) will cost more than the few days of accommodations. Aside from this disaster the hotel was clean and located in a very walkable spot. Breakfast was good and the service prompt. Beds and room were comfortable and typical of a 4 star rating.

Breakfast was okay. Staff gave the impression that requests were a nuisance, which may be a cultural thing. It was recommended that we don't drink the tap water, and most days 4 oz of water was provided and if we needed more, it was available for a fee, not high but much good will could have been earned at little cost to them if it were provided gratis. Cats! If you like cats, Istanbul is the town for you and they wandered through the restaurant, even jumping on the table if you had left to get something. Again, a cultural thing, just something you don't see anywhere else. Bed was not particularly comfortable, I would suggest replacing it. The location is excellent, walkable to the famous mosques and Topkapi palace, right on the waterfront and close to good restaurants.

Very good location with plenty of restaurants, cafes and landmarks within walking distance. Cleanliness and service was very good. The only negative point would be the WiFi which was very slow and issues with connection. Staff are very helpful and friendly

The hotel has a great location overlooking the sea. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is great in general. However, if you’re going to stay multiple days then it becomes repetitive and may consider taking the breakfast elsewhere. When I was booking this hotel, I read some bad reviews related to the air conditioning. I think this must an old problem. The air conditioning is very good now.

View is fatastic, hotel is clean and nice. Staff in the front desk has a stern face without much emotion. Another staff guided us to the room was weird, he accompanied us into the room and continued to talk to us while we wanted to rest due to the jet lag.

Hey, We stayed for 5 nights at Kalyon hotel, it was a very pleasent experience. Nice people every time at your service, good breakfast, clean and big room with partial seaview; they cleaned our room every day, put fresh towels, paper, shower gel and shampoo. Con: a little bit noisy; very bad experience with dinner at their restaurant.

Great Hotel

Great hotel. Room was clean and roomy (jr suite). Staff was excellent. Loved the location. Easy walking distance to Blue Mosque, transit station, and other attractions. Great ocean view. Breakfast was good. Only complaint was the beds were a little hard.

Five Star

It was one of the best experience of my life. Staff is number one in my list of traveling for past 30 years. I want to return to visit Turkey and the only reaosn is to stay in this hotel and meet the great staff. I will highly recommend. The manager was always there to help me and my family.

Renovating-noises in the mornings and sewage smell

There were renovation-noises in the mornings, the hotel were renovating the rooms next to the reserved rooms. The water in the bathroom stank of sewer. The location and view were good. Service was polite and good.

Disappointed will not come again

I was really disappointed. Though housekeeping came everyday to clean the room - they never changed the bedsheets - i stayed for a week and that was disgusting. It took me two days to get bathroom slippers none were in the room. No robe was in the room. The bath tub was never cleaned i felt mucky taking a shower. This is not a hotel service worst experience ever. The restaurant desserts were nice, the mains and starters were awful.

Great location within easy walking distance of main shopping bazaar and other historical sites including the famous mosques. The hotel is located across the seaside with great views of container ships floating past. The only one thing that impacted me was the room fridge which did not work and when I attempted to plug it in it almost caught fire. The fridge was never replaced during the duration of my stay which resulted in some of the food I had bought having to be disposed of.
