Most comfortable bed, so clean, staff so pleasant and polite, laundry facility and great location near USMC base. Easy access to downtown area, not far from train station. Enjoyed my stay thoroughly. Great pharmacy next door too.

I had a great time here the rooms where well priced. 15 minute walk to the train station. Taxis are always reliable and staff was always friendly and willing to help out. Just be sure to that a translation app ready if you don't speak Japanese.

Very quiet hotel near the airport and MCAS Iwakuni. The staff are friendly and helpful. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. Plenty of parking available. They have a laundry on site as well.

We stay at The Yard for 8 nights. Our unit was clean, the bed was comfortable and the office employees were very friendly. We appreciated the frozen “light meals” that were included in our very reasonable room rate. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Our only complaint would be that the completely asphalted property has very poor drainage, so when we had an extremely rainy day our shoes got soaked walking onto the property to access our unit.

The location was less than a 5 minute drive from the airport and the base. There was a grocery store and two 7-Elevens within walking distance. Only thing that would be beneficial is a change machine for the laundry, since it is ¥100 coin-only.

This is a shipping container hotel. Very unique and I've enjoyed my stay immensely! It's very quiet here, you never hear your neighbors and the city is quiet as well. It's next to the airport and MCAS Iwakuni. This is my second stay at this property and I've already booked a third stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and have nice amenities.

I have never stayed in a hotel like this (each room is a separate shipping container that has been converted to a hotel suite). I found the room to be quiet and very comfortable. I chose it for its convenience to the Air Station, which you can walk to in about 5 minutes. Laundry is onsite and easy to use. Free coffee/espresso. Good WiFi. Meal vouchers are provided (one per day). I would definitely stay here again, and I recommend it to those traveling to the Iwakuni area.

Small but comfortable

Room was a little cramped but very comfortable. The bed was firm and comfortable. The bathroom was excellent but small. It was clean and clean towels were provided every day. The location was excellent, close to MCAS Iwakuni and close to the city center. The provided meals were frozen microwaveable dishes that were tasty but only providing frozen meals was disappointing but you are close to a convenience store and not far from many amazing restaurants.
