Fabulous ocean view in a great location!
The condo is located in a great area along the ocean that is close to the cute Old Town Fernandina Beach. It was also convenient to a grocery store for us to get supplies. It’s a corner unit located on the top floor with a spectacular 180 degree view of the beach and ocean. We spent every morning enjoying coffee on the outside porch watching the sun come up and dolphins swim by. The place is comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and a cozy little living room. It was a comfortable place to come home to at night after a fun day of activities. The only suggestion I would make, and I say it with love, is the couch needs to be replaced with a comfy pull out couch. The one there was not comfortable to sit on and it would only be acceptable for children to sleep on. That change would make that condo a fabulous place to stay. I read that the owner responded to a former visitor’s comment about the couch that it provided needed storage. I would suggest to put plastic bends under the beds and get a couch that was comfortable and could provide additional sleeping spaces for adults. We enjoyed our stay and would go back to this condo if we return to this area.

Sand Dollar review
Couch was very uncomfortable. Condo was not clean. Lots of dirt on floors and dust on edges of most everything. With a deep, thorough cleaning and a comfortable couch all would have been good.

Amazing view and location
We would definitely stay here again. The views from almost every area of the condo were spectacular. Location was perfect. Beaches weren’t overcrowded. Owner provided absolutely anything we could need. HOWEVER, Evolve did not provide correct information about how to enter the condo. The lock system has been changed to digital. We were not given the correct access code. Thankfully Kim answered the phone and gave us the correct info, because we had just walked up 4 flights of stairs with groceries that needed to go in the fridge. We were texted 2 days prior to our stay that the elevator was broken and would be for our entire stay. We weren’t offered any reimbursement. Condo is on 3rd floor, but parking is underneath, so 4 flights of stairs. We are physically fit, so it was doable, but it would’ve been a major issue for other people. Suitcases and groceries up and down 4 flights of stairs was a workout.

Sold on the View
Booked this property because the view looked so awesome and we were not disappointed. It is on the 3rd floor and there is an elevator but it is on the opposite side of the building. Didn't matter to us but might be something someone else would like to know. It was clean and had everything needed for cooking meals. We had a wonderful time.

The condo was small but very nice. The views were spectacular and access to the beach was great too. We spied a turtle from the condo window and flocks of birds flying over too. We would definitely stay again.

This condo was perfect for 3 adults. Beautiful views from the 3rd floor overlooking the dunes and beach. We were able to see the spectacular sunrises each morning. Very nicely appointed. Very efficient washer/dryer! There were some extras, e.g, foil and plastic wrap. Convenient to restaurants and grocery stores. We were happy to chill out on the beautiful beach.

The condo was great. Both bathrooms were spacious. The bedrooms were great sizes. The view was incredible. It is a corner unit. The walk down to the beach was easy. FYI - there are 7-8 steps going down to the beach at the end of the boardwalk. The pool was great. It was the middle of May so the beach was almost deserted. The island wasn't very crowded yet so it was great. Communicating with the property management was easy. They answered questions promptly. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and such. Thank you!

Best vacation spot on Amelia Island.
This condo was wonderful. The views were incredible from every room. It was decorated beautifully with little little touches everywhere-even in the Master bedroom bureau drawers. It was fully stocked with extra supplies. Everything you could think of was there. This condo far surpassed any other place we have stayed on the island.

Great rental in a beautiful setting!!
Great time and no issues that significantly detracted from the stay. Excellent views, quiet area, wonderful beds, everything one could ask in a kitchen, great patio furniture and a great washer/dryer. Only negative was the couch/sofa was arguably the hardest, most uncomfortable piece of furniture we ever tried to use… But that was openly an issue when we wanted to watch tv in the living area.

Great views
This property has great views and is well stocked/maintained. Appreciated the ability to watch Netflix and Hulu without needing a separate login. Lots of board games/cards for the rainy days. Only tiny complaint is the couch is very stiff/uncomfortable (no padding) and the shower heads are low. Otherwise, everything was lovely-favorite part was having the ability to listen to the waves crashing while falling asleep.

Location, location
The apartment is in a great complex and is a corner unit. The views of the ocean are spectacular. The decor, baths and furnishings are a little tired, mismatched, outdated. This was evident from the photos but the price was right and we love Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach. So, overall it was a pleasant stay.

Unit was dirty. Floor was filthy, and bed sheets had hair all in them. Unit has a key box when you initially check in. Was stuck shut and took us 15 min to get in the unit. Was hard to store anything of our own bc all closests had boxes of "stuff" in them. Had to keep our suit cases out and had to keep stepping over them. Unit did have dresser store space, not much closet space. Unit can fit 6 but no more than 4 to be comfortable. Property manager was prompt and courteous with our needs. Great view but cleanliness and age of furniture took away from the overall experience.

We loved our short little time staying here.. the condo was perfect. It has alot of the little things you would need and not think of. Very clean, beds were comfortable. But the views were amazing you cant beat that view every day. Even tho the weather for us turned out crazy windy and cold we still loved our stay, and would stay here again.

Sand Dollar Condo
Condo was not cleaned properly. Stains on couch and bedspread, mold around air vents, door on bathroom not properly attached, holes in drywall. Rental agreement states we pay a "accidental rental damage waiver . What recourse do we have when we entered a damaged condo? Probably the worst place we ever rented. The one good thing was the view.

We followed up with the homeowners, who let us know that they have had a busy rental season but are aware that some improvements are needed. Room With a View
The unit space is maximized for two bedrooms and two baths. Less than 1000 square feet. No more than four would fit comfortably. End and top unit allows for wonderful ocean views and hearing wave sounds. Located in between residential areas which affords more quietness on beach walks. The unit has had some upgrades but needs to be refreshed with new paint and furnishings. When we entered their was a musty smell present. Probably not rented in awhile. Should be refreshed before a visit. Hair was found on sheets in guest bedroom and we laundered all sheets and towels before using. Ran dishes through washer as well. No grill, pool not heated. Very quiet during our visit, had the beach to ourself. View and location sells this unit.

My daughters and I were looking for a place to rent for years to come since we have done this since 2003 but since it didn’t meet our standards because of the exuberant price and not meeting our standards we’re going to keep searching. My family of five very much enjoyed our stay in unit 312 at the Sand Dollar Villas. This is our second stay at this complex (we also stayed in 305 a couple of years ago... also a great condo!) and love the area. The pool is nice and rarely overcrowded. The complex is quiet and family-friendly. The condo is open considering the size and we actually had a pizza night with our entire crowd and had 11 people in to eat, and the condo along with the wonderful balcony provided enough room for everyone to be able to sit and eat. The beds were comfy and lots of little extras were provided for cooking, though we didn’t utilize any of it (pots, pans, pitchers, plenty of cups, bowls, silverware, etc.). Easy walk to the beach via the boardwalk. Would definitely rent again.

Perfect Amelia Island Condo
This sweet little condo was perfect for the needs of our threesome & the view was spectacular. Very clean upon arrival. Comfy beds. Very well equipped kitchen - perfect for preparing a few dishes for our relatives’ Christmas feast. The local property manager (Carter) was instantly responsive when we had a question. We would be happy to stay there again any time.

Relaxing at the beach
Property has the best view of the beach of any in the building and probably on all of Ameila Island. The unit is well supplied with everything you could want. Weather was wonderful, neither too hot nor cold. Pool water was quite cool but very refeshing. We look forward to our next chance to relax at the beach in this wonderful place.

This was one of our best VRBO experiences ever. The property is exactly as described. The view is beyond amazing and being the front corner unit allows for ocean viewing in multiple directions. We spent as much time as we could on the comfortable balcony. The owner has put so much thought into the unit. The kitchen has anything you could need for meal preparation. And, there were plenty of supplies, to include coffee, papertowels, soaps, etc. Highly recommend.
