Beautiful house and great location!
The house had great sunset views and was located conveniently to Folly Beach and not far from downtown Charleston. The neighborhood was great to walk in. I would definitely recommend this house.

Beautiful location and helpful property manager
Our family made fun memories in this beautifully located home over a dreary March weekend. The listing was accurate and the home was comfortable for the 5 of us. Just had a couple of small hiccups which were addressed quickly by the property manager. If you love the marsh as much as we do, this is a great place!

We had a wonderful stay here. It is just as described and included bikes and kayaks. We enjoyed the deck for morning coffee and sunrises. The location is perfect; just a short drive to the beach or downtown for fun and sightseeing. I will be back.

WOW! AMAZING PLACE TO STAY!
This was one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. I am used to bringing/buying all my supplies in rentals. It was super nice and stocked. There was a cabinet full of seasonings, extra trashbags, laundry soap, fabric sheets, dishwasher tabs, cleaning supplies, ziplock bags, and even parchment paper. I was able to cook dinner as if I was in my own home. However, this place had a much better view! We all enjoyed the coastal river and all the different birds we were able to enjoy. There is a shelf with games and books to enjoy. THERE WERE KAYAKS AND BIKES TO ENJOY. We took advantage of those every day. There were 3 nice bikes for adults and 2 kids bikes. The neighborhood was great. I LOVED this place and so did my kids. If we make it back to this area, we will definitely be staying here!

Thanksgiving Family Vacation
Great house to enjoy with our adult kids over Thanksgiving break. The house was comfortable and spacious for all of us. Awesome and interesting views to watch the tide come in and out. Very quiet neighborhood. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment for a Thanksgiving dinner, even if we went the untraditional route and grilled out steak on the fantastic grill. This was our first visit to the Charleston area and found it to be very convenient for getting downtown. Oh and if you are looking for Holiday things to do, the James Island County Park Festival of Lights has a fantastic Holiday light display and festival.

Would stay again
Nice place. Stayed with family including our two year old and my older in-laws with mobility issues. A little hard for the older individuals with the stair but it was manageable. Great view! We did experience an unexpected storm (hurricane level rain without the hurricane) it did flood all the parking area, thankfully we only had one vehicle and it fit at the top of the driveway. Which the weather was nicer so we could have checked out the kayaks. The place was clean and had basic kitchen supplies. If you need any special cooking supplies, bring them with you. It was well stocked with the essential like toilet paper, soap, dish and laundry soap, mini shampoo, body wash, lotion, etc. Owner responded to messages quickly. We would stay there again if coming to this area.

Wonderful Experience!
We stay in a VRBO usually once a year when attending Parents Weekend at The Citadel. We have had great experiences. This one was the best. The credit for that goes to our host Todd who was "Johnny on the spot" anytime we had a question or needed anything. The view of this property was magnificent. Having kayaks made for some memorable trips up the creek where we saw many dolphins. The bikes allowed us to ride to the beach and over to some historic sites. The house itself was clean, well ordered, and very comfortable. Our favorite thing was the high caliber service we received. WE WILL BE BACK!

Beautiful views and comfortable stay. However, the host did not send check-in instructions with the address and confirmation email. So there was some confusion about how to gain access to the apartment. However, once that was settled, we had a great time. The membership pass to the local county parks and kayaking was awesome! We had a great time.

We had a wonderful stay and hope to come back again! Todd, the owner was friendly and hospitable, taking the time to email not only instructions for the house but some wonderful activities and places to visit and dine! The house is conveniently located between Charleston and Folly Beach. The house was immaculate and comfortably furnished, with decks and a beautiful dock on a lively marsh abundant with wildlife. Beautiful vacation home
We came in town to see family and have a little family vacation. We loved the location of the home - close to the beach and beautiful water and marsh view. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the access and ease of use of the kayaks. When kayaking both days we were greeted by dolphins that swam around us. Wonderful experience! The beds and layout of the house was perfect fpr our family of 5. Each night we were able to watch a gorgeous sunset from the back porch. Extra bonus we found a yoga studio close by that we absolutely fell in love with - Yohola Yoga Factory. Also since we have an EV, there was a charger at the public library only 1.4 miles away - this was a pleasant surprise and made things easy and convenient. We highly recommend this space and will definitely be back.

The place perfectly accommodated 6 of us for a long weekend. Great views of the sunset from both of the outer decks. The dramatic changing tides are fun to watch. Location is perfect. 15 mins from the city, 10 from Folly Beach. Nice quiet neighborhood. Excellent communication and service from the host, Todd. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again!!

Pros: Great location with very easy access to Folly Beach. Great porches and lots of windows with views of the marsh. The hosts were very attentive and the house was nicely stocked with toiletry items. Cons: Overall the place felt like an older rental with sub-par furnishings/furniture. The beds were not comfortable and the masters shower was really poor. We struggled with the TV/internet, although the host did try to help! Dont think the price per night matched the quality of the place

We are laid back easy going types. We cooked fresh seafood & explored the area & drank wine, it was perfect!! The view is absolutely gorgeous. I had never been to S Carolina beaches or marsh areas. It was fascinating to me. The sunsets spectacular!!! Walked the neighborhood in the mornings. It was a 10 for us!!

We had a group of 5 stay here over our spring break and it was fantastic all around. Todd, the property owner was extremely helpful and accessible for any questions. The gazebo is incredible, with stunning views of the marsh and amazing birding and wildlife sightings. The home is about 15 minutes from downtown Charleston but feels like a world away, we felt so refreshed and rejuvenated upon leaving. The home itself is stunning, extremely clean and has so much charm. The kitchen appliances and fixtures (plates, pots and pans, glasses, etc) were very well stocked and helpful for making meals. We would stay here many more times! Thank you to Todd!

This was an amazing place. We have rented a lot of different houses over the years for vacation and this was by far the most accommodating to renters as far as stocked -ie extra thick bath towels, extra toiletries and just a very nice place. The renter cares about your stay. Highly recommend. We will rent again. Right on the marsh and beautiful house. We stayed in the upstairs apartment. 5 Star accommodations!

Property is good, property manager is rude.
We enjoyed our stay but would not rent again because of the property manager. He was prompt in his communication but was rude, condescending and a total narcissist who has to have the last word. The house was comfortable and the dock was fun for our little boy. The maintenance man was very friendly. The people staying below us had issues with power, crabs coming in and water coming in. Glad we were on the top two floors. Overall a good place to stay if you dont mind being insulted by Tod the property manager.

Relaxing visit to enjoy the southern culture in Charleston.
Enjoyed the beauty of the marshes, the tides going in and out, the sun rising in the morning, and the playful interaction of the birds. The closeness of so many wonderful places to visit and the wonderful cuisine of the area made it a memorable visit. The property with two floors provided privacy and the outdoor decks provided beautiful views. Highly recomend.

Oh were do I begin.. first I agree totally with the other reviews the house needs a total update and fixing. But besides that we were not able to check in at 4 like we were suppose to because the people before us "did a number on the place" said the owner, but we weren't offered special accommodation for that like a late check out or anything. Then we tried to use the parking pass that is included with the stay but turns out it was expired and when I contacted the owner they didn't offer to reimburse me for that. Then my husbands grandfather passed away 4 days into our 9 day stay so we left Tuesday night after taking the time to so ALL THE CHECK OUT TO DO'S AND THEN SOME on top of leaving the house SPOTLESS and the owner would not offer any money back or anything.. Then after ALL THAT he will charge you for damages probably caused but the ones who did "a number on the place" And talk to you like a piece of trash.. So be prepared if something happens he cares more about himself and his money to do anything to accommodate you as a guest.

I’m sorry to hear about the inconveniences during your stay. As I say and repeat from start to finish of a reservation, it’s imperative guests inform me of any complaints they have immediately so I can address them. In this case I was not informed of the parking pass issue or the family emergency that required an early departure until after the reservation was over giving me no ability to address them. Had I known about them or been able to provide a late check out etc I absolutely would have because again as I state to each guest and in my bio, providing an enjoyable and relating trip is my number one concern. I wish you luck in future reservations and hope that communication goes better so that if issues arise they can be immediately addressed. Take care.

Vacation on the Marsh
We have stayed in this house twice and have enjoyed our stays both times. The house needs work but it's better now than our last visit. We love staying on the marsh so the kayaks are a huge plus and with the parking pass, you have access to Folly Beach County Park which is really beautiful. The house is dog friendly so our labradoodle gets to vacation with us. The view can't be beat! The sunsets are stunning! We had no problems at all and will probably stay again when we go back.

The place is very pleasant. Great location on a marsh with relaxation-inducing views. I would recommend it for anyone; including families with children. We did not use the kayaks or the bikes. There were some annoying problems. The refrigerator did not work properly: the freezer made ice, but the refrigerator section cooled only partially. The toaster broke after the very first day. The master bedroom, which is on the upper floor, needs some Tender Loving Care (TLC) . Bot of the bathroom’s sinks had some issues: the left one was almost totally clogged and the stopper control knob came loose, the right one had no stopper. I used a small piece of stone to prevent us from dropping things( pills, jewelry, etc,) down the drain. The vertical blinds did not function properly (this was fixed by the cleaning crew when they brought a lamp). The folding closet doors were off track. Now, these issues did not prevent us from enjoying our stay, but they were annoying. As I’ve said: the property needs some TLC. Had I known about the annoyances, I would have looked for something with lower cost.
