"We had a wonderful stay at The Lodge at Old City Hall. The room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable, with thoughtful details throughout. We especially enjoyed the historical touches that highlighted the building’s past—they added so much character and made the stay feel special. A charming and memorable place to stay in Jefferson City."

"Kitchen was fully equipped and water pressure in showers was excellent. The master bedroom mattress was great, no back pain! The deck and sunsets were such a treat. We also enjoyed the ping pong table and darts. "

"The house was great, and the views were beautiful. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious enough, and there was plenty of hang-out space, where we could all hang out together or have the kids in one space and the grown-ups in a different space. The only negative is the parking situation... parking is not right next to the house, but by a neighboring house on the property, in a shared driveway. Parking is limited to 3 cars for this property. The guests in the other house on the property parked WAY more than 3 cars, used our assigned parking spots, and blocked our 3 cars in overnight. (Avantstay concierges were very responsive and did attempt to resolve the situation several times, but the other guests just didn't care.)"

The view of Cherokee Lake was stunning, calm, serene and exactly what we needed to unwind. The property itself was spotless. You can tell the owner takes great pride in offering a top-tier experience for their guests. Everything was exactly as described-even better in person.If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with beautiful lake views and a clean, cozy space to relax, this is it. "My daughter and I needed a place to stay for her in-person registration at Carson-Newman.The Lodge was so close, we could have walked so it was super convenient. We stayed in the Magistrate Room and it was gorgeous. You could tell the renovation was recent because scoring looks brand new. Despite the newness, it still has a lot of charm. They did a great job incorporating original architecture and design with the revitalization of the space.There were so many homey touches that made our experience a good one. There were two bottles of water, freshly baked oatmeal-raisin cookies, a Keureg and K-pods. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were very nice.The only thing that threw me off a little was the fact that it was managed more as a vacation rental than a lodge. I originally found the listing on Hotels.com. That, coupled with the name, The Lodge gave me the impression there would be people in the building running the place when we got there. Nobody wider had booked the other two rooms available so we had the entire place to ourselves. It was nice at first but made me a little nervous after dark since my daughter and I were traveling alone. That being said, I know we were safe because there was a code to get into the building and another code to get in our room. I just didn't realize we would be by ourselves when we booked it.We truly did love our stay and the room. I look forward to staying here with my husband when we are in town visiting my daughter at school."
