“This was such a fun experience. My husband and I had a road trip up the east coast. We aren't big campers and this was a great way to get a bit more of a rustic experience without a tent. But yes, you take a canoe to the island. It takes 5 minutes. No electricity, so be prepared for a camp stove and electric lanterns. Loons added a lovely evening sound track. Google map directions worked fine. Mexican restaurant was good. Took a day trip to Camden to hike and have lunch which was lovely. So fun……

“Great location and interesting layout in this historic house. It was the perfect respite for our stay before our puffin tour the next day and close to town for a concert on the common and restaurants. Note : to access one of the bedrooms you need to go through the bathroom, but it worked out fine. Dmitri was super communicative and was kind enough to let us know we left a pair of shoes there after we departed. “As advertised, except for the "walking distance to downtown." It's over a mile, no sidewalks, very hilly bendy road, difficult for cars and the plethora of work trucks to see you. We had some elderly folks planning to stroll into town, but that was a hard no. Maybe ok if you're young and active, but certainly don't plan on safely walking home at night. Otherwise, a pleasant old place. ”

“Just as-advertised. A somewhat-quirky (though quaint and cozy) space above the flower shop on a local flower farm. My kids loved seeing/meeting the animals, which was a nice perk. Kitchen could have used a few more basics (toaster or baking tray? coffee machine?), but felt "on theme" given the farmhouse feel. Stacy was delightful, and very responsive. “This was my 3rd or 4th stay here, and my favorite spot in all of Maine. Even on a rainy or snowy day, it’s gorgeous. This is an older home with lots of charm, the most breathtaking views of the harbor, and everything you could need to enjoy time here indoors or out. I almost hate to add photos, as it will drive demand for this spot even higher. It’s just a stunningly beautiful space and it’s very hard to leave!”
