Loved this hotel! My girlfriend and I got it to see NYC and the location was fantastic! Not only that but down the street is the bus station to get into the city! It’s only about a 20 min ride! Even better, the whole street has a bunch of food places like chili’s and Starbucks and even a Walmart. Our room was the double bed room on the fourth floor, super clean room with a nice bathroom mirror, no fan for the bathroom so you will get a steam room after a hot shower! Staff was fantastic as well as the free parking with staying there. Only complaints would be the set up for the free breakfast was very chaotic, they need to organize it better lots of people just standing around and the bread station was horrific if you didn’t get there early. The options were good, and the fancy coffee machine was wonderful. And the elevators were a little spooky at times with no working buttons and random drops. Other than that it’s a great place to stay and I recommend if you’re planning on going to New York City! Thanks Best Western!

Some receptionists’ English is difficult to communicate or understand. We asked whether there is any mint tea, she said she would send some to the room soon. After 20 minutes no one came and a second called was made, she sent housekeeping to deliver some quilts to our room. A third call confirmed that she did not understand what mint tea was.
We got an opened-packaged soap, dry noodles on chair and some hair as souvenirs during the stay.

Positiv hervorzuheben sind die renovierten und großen Zimmer sowie die relativ niedrigen Preise (im Vergleich zu NYC). Sehr praktisch ist zudem die Mikrowelle im Zimmer. Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls sehr gut: Es befinden sich viele preiswerte Restaurants sowie ein großer Supermarkt im direkten Umfeld. Die Umgebung ist ruhig und sicher. Die Bushaltestelle der Linie 320 ist gleich um die Ecke; von hier gelangt man in ca. 20-30min (je nach Verkehr) auf direktem Weg für ca. 5$ nach New York zum Port Authority Bus Terminal. Ein großer Nachteil ist, dass man im Zimmer keine Fenster öffnen kann (für Europäer unbegreiflich). Man ist deshalb auf die Klimaanlage angewiesen. Diese hatte jedoch einen sehr unangenehmen Geruch und war verschimmelt. Dies ist gesundheitsschädlich und nicht hinnehmbar. An der Rezeption wurde uns insoweit geholfen, dass zumindest der sichtbare Schimmel entfernt wurde; der unangenehme Geruch blieb. Das Frühstück ist für amerikanische Verhältnisse in Ordnung, jedoch nicht auf den großen Ansturm des ausgebuchten Hotels ausgelegt. Insgesamt ein gutes Hotel mit ein paar großen Mängeln. Für einen preiswerten NY-Trip auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Staff was not at all cooperative. The house keeping didn’t clean our room, breakfast menu was terrible and service was slow. Coffee machine was out of order for a day during our 4 night stay. Washroom near the lobby was dirty.

Easy walk to the bus stop across the street if heading into NY. However, the night we arrived the air conditioning wasn’t working, the phone wasn’t working, and the refrigerator was barely cool. Maintenance came up but spoke little English so it was hard to communicate. The air slowly started to cool if we put it on 61 or 62. He brought a new phone but it didn’t work either, so it was a line issue. Not much concern about not having a phone, but refrigerator and air was less than ideal. I was told they were booked and there was nothing they could do to switch rooms. When asked if I could get reimbursed anything for air not working, I was told the manager was out of town. Not sure I would stay here again.
