The staffs and services are impeccable. Property is in a good condition and in a relative safe neighborhood, all things considered. Food in the restaurant on site are a few options with good quality. Didn’t like the dirty carpet in the room though. Overall, it’s a great stay.

Good location, but lots of disturbance. Fire alarm went of at 1am evacuated guests from hotel, but was false alarm Lots of construction and they start hammering/ drilling from 7am. Made stay uncomfortable

The property is in a safe and secure location. I liked that the hotel provided an hourly shuttle to and from Rosebank mall. There was however some noise from renovations they are carrying out. When checking in i was met with welding fumes in the passage on the way to my room from doors they were fixing on the same floor my room was on.

excellent hotel

excellent hotel! The staff is just amazing, so friendly and helpful at any time of day or night. I could book a taxi to the airport from the hotel. I could use the free shuttle to go to the mall. The restaurant is delicious too, breakfast is amazing with eggs cooked as you want them, fresh fruit, vegetables, everything you want. The bedroom was really comfortable, large comfortable bed, tea / coffee / cookies / water, the bathroom was great too with a large shower and shampoo / soap / body lotion. Really comfortable. I didn't use the swimming pool because it rained during my whole stay but it looked really great :) Next time I come, I'll definitely use it :) A great hotel, very well located, close to the mall & supermarket Checkers and bank inside the mall so you can easily take cash. Very important to always have cash with you in SA.

I was overall happy with the stay. The Deluxe room is rather small, staff overall were nice and helpful, except for the manager who told me (after I had already paid half day for late check-out and needed on additional hour) that if I would "come one minute after" the agreed time, I would be charged the full night, in no uncertain terms. I was one of several guests attending a conference and not really sure what caused such hostile tone. Otherwise fine and uneventful.

Stunning Hotel but a Little Pestering

The hotel was pristine, and the room was great! It would be nice to have an iron in there, especially for busy business people on the go. The one weird thing is the number of times the hotel tried to contact me before my check-in. It was quite a nuisance. They emailed to confirm and then phoned me twice on the day of check-in. Neither time was I free to answer the call (the one time I was actually trying to scan my boarding pass for my flight and they were calling), but it felt a bit like I had a nanny! Very annoying!! Please use Whatsapp!!

Southern Sun Rosebank is in a convenient location, close to the city and just around the corner from Rosebank Mall. The staff advised against walking for security reasons, but it’s easy to get around with Uber or the hotel’s shuttle service to the mall. There is plenty of parking on-site, and the parking price is affordable. I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, and the food at The Grill restaurant was also very good. Overall, I had a good stay and it’s a hotel I would recommend.
