"Popham Beach is amazing! As a busy professional, I have needed some time to relax and recharge. Although the weather wasn’t as cooperative as I hoped, being rather cold and windy the first days and rainy on the third, it meant I had the beach basically to myself each day when I ventured out. Not spending all day on the beach also gave me time to visit some of the nearby attractions, such as Fort Popham, the Maine Maritime Museum, the Botanical Gardens, and the Wiscasset Antiques Mall. I highly recommend staying at the cottage on Popham Beach during the shoulder season when you need a little peace and quiet!"

"We stayed at East Ledge for a month and just loved it. We decided to rent for a month during our son’s last college soccer season. A great location, 5 minutes from Reid State Park, close to Bath with all its amenities. Can’t recommend it more highly!!!"

"My husband and myself have spent multiple years returning to the island. We really highly recommend it for the rustic nature loving souls who are searching for some serious separation from chaos. Deb and her husband are also just wonderful to work with. A tree had fallen in the pathway and her husband drove a long distance to come cut it out of the way and even found me on the island to ask if we were okay with the way he had moved and cut the tree. Just a wonderful family. We spend much of our time watching the dogs run around in pure happiness, fishing, watching the seals and other wildlife and going for long walks on the flats. One year a young seal came up on the island after it was injured and we gave it space to rest for a while (we called the experts for advice). Just such a beautiful place to be. Few things we have picked up over the years: to help the cleaning process at the end we brought a battery powered vacuum (we also have very furry dogs so we try to do our best to clean all the fur up). When staying for a week we bring a cooler with ice and use that for a couple days (they also have a cooler there) and then transfer everything to the fridge that’s left the last couple days. The current is fast and pup life vests or leads are literally life saving. The hosts really are remarkable - have accommodated us way above and beyond expected this last trip and always listened to our concerns previously. Really amazing people and beautiful place. We are grateful."

"Rented this house for my son’s wedding across the road at the 1774 Inn. It was just what we needed for easy access for our extended family and for us to stay the night after the wedding....we didn't want the magic to end! Patricia & Litty were super communicative and attended to our requests quickly."
