Worth the view
The best part of this house is the view. We spent most of our days lounging on the deck, painting, eating and hanging out. The house is every amenity you can think of too, fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms, and beautiful outdoor grounds. Strong wifi in an area with little cell service. Could not recommend highly enough!

Fantastic stay in a fantastic home
The property is roomy, well-equipped, and comfortable. The deck faces the lake and we spent *a lot* of time out there! Easy drive into Julian and quick access to the freeway into San Diego. An ideal location. The host was flexible and very responsive. A great stay and we are looking forward to returning.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Check in/out was seamless, house was clean, kitchen is extremely well stocked, good selection of toys for younger kids plus a few items in the upstairs bedroom for older kids, yard is beautiful and really well cared for. The view is spectacular. The house is exactly as pictured and we can happily report the beds are as comfortable as they say :) We all slept great. This was a wonderful place to stay for two families! We felt welcome and it was the retreat we all needed.

Fantastic weekend getaway!
Our group of 8 had a fantastic June weekend getaway. The view of the lake and surrounding mountains and trees were stunning. The long back porch was our main hangout. Didn't even leave the property, it was so relaxing! The home was clean and very accommodating. Kitchen worked very well. Beds were comfy. Just as advertised. Mike was very responsive for the questions we had. FYI cell phone service can be iffy at times. Our group had a GREAT time and hope to return in '25!

Beautiful views, comfortable house
The house was very comfortable for 6 adults. Lots of nice places to sit, whether to join the group or be off by yourself for a while. The house was also very functional, no problem getting the fireplace, heat, or anything else we needed to work. We didn't really cook so can't say anything about stove, etc. The last night and morning it got pretty cold, windy, and rainy, but no problems being comfortable in the house. All in all a very pleasant place for a family from all over the country to get together.

Our stay at the Luxury Lake House was wonderful! My family and friends loved the time we spent there. The home is so welcoming, the views are fantastic, and everyone had the best time exploring Lake Cuyamaca and Julian.

Tranquil stay with toddlers and infants
We were pleasantly surprised with this cabin. There was plenty of room for the 5 children’s that joined us on this trip to run around and play. The owners have a supply of toys hidden in a large walk in closet upstairs that we’re perfect of our children’s ages. The views are spectacular. Drinking coffee early morning on the porch watching the sun rise was so relaxing. There is a small patch of grass on the property our children really loved running on. The bonfire pit was my daughters favorite part. The cabin is equipped with almost everything you would need on your stay. We appreciated how responsive and respectful the owners are. We had issues with the WiFi all weekend so the owner purchased more data for us. He promised to update the WiFi the week after we checked out so on our next stay we’ll be able to stream.

We absolutely loved this rental property. We will be going back to stay for more family fun. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The fireplace was amazing as it was very cold while we were there.The kitchen appliances were amazing and new. We cannot say enough good things about our stay. The view was outstanding!!

My mom’s birthday weekend.
This is a great property to say at, with plenty of room for all 9 of our family members. The house is very clean in and around the property. Beautiful view of the lake and surrounding hills. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful house to rent for vacation or just a weekend getaway.

Beautiful Lake House
Me and my family had a great time at this property. We were 7 adults in total at the house, and there was plenty of space for all of us. I was very impressed on how well the property is equipped. We had everything that was necessary for cooking, and have a good time. We loved the fire pit, and the deck facing the lake. Me and my family made unforgettable memories, and It was a wonderful place to celebrate my birthday.

Awesome view and hummingbirds, too.
I highly recommend this house. Lots of space, beautiful views, and right in the middle of hiking and horseback riding territory. Mike is easy to work with and very fast replies to questions. Short drive into Julian although if driving in from the city, and you don’t plan to eat out a lot, stop for groceries before leaving the city.

Cozy home
I loved the property it is beautiful and it is well equipped. We took our own things just in case but when we got there we realized that almost everything you need is provided. The home is very open with lots of space but cozy at the same time, especially the bean bag that is in the living room. I would definitely love to stay there again.

We had 7 people and were very comfortable! Plenty of beds and ample living space. The decks all had fabulous views of the lake and the yard was perfect for playing cornhole (which we brought with us) and making s’mores.

A great place to get away from it all
The great - Mike and Jean were wonderful. They responded very quickly to our questions. - The bed was ridiculously comfortable. My back still misses that mattress. - The house is a great place just to stay and enjoy the company of others. - The view of the lake was as advertised. I loved sitting on the deck and watching the birds. - The lake is very peaceful. It is large enough to take long walks, but small enough not to have loud speed boats disturbing us. The good The location is close to the lake, but it is not as close as the picture seemed to imply. Please be aware that it takes a few minutes to drive to the lake. You can also walk to the lake, but it is a long walk down a steep hill. Tips to make your vacation great Make sure you plan out your menus ahead of time. Shopping options are very limited in Julian. There is an Albertsons in the community of Alpine, but it is about an hour round trip on windy roads. Bring what you need with you. Truly want to get away from it all. The lake house is not within easy driving distance of anywhere except Julian. Day trips to San Diego and surrounding cities take a minimum of an hour drive and the roads are tough. Final Thoughts I would go back in a heartbeat. However, I would probably go with people who also want to just enjoy scenery, eat well, and enjoy each other's company.
