I’m very happy with this property as it’s a 3 minute walk to the lake and into town. Very clean and it basically has everything you need. Definitely going to book the same property next Memorial Day.

Perfect house for families

Honestly the pictures do not do this house justice because it is a great place. The house was very clean, beds are comfortable (Thank you!), great location and minutes away from the ski resort, walking distance to food, general store, park, lake, and walking trail. The house is also only 15-20 mins away from Mammoth if you wanted to go into the town. The house is so spacious and has a great layout for families, so no one is on top of each other. The property management was the nicest to work with, always friendly, accommodating, and gave me everything I needed to ensure my stay was seemless. I would highly recommend this house for your June Lake getaway!

Unreasonable Homeowner Ruins Stay

TL;DR: Decent cabin, but the homeowner constantly watches through cameras and is unreasonable about service dogs. The cabin itself is fine: well-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, good WiFi, and a great location near June Lake businesses. Minor annoyance: we arrived to a full dishwasher that needed emptying. The real issue was the homeowner. My wife travels with a service dog, and while VRBO doesn't require disclosure, I informed the property manager (June Lake Accommodations) before check-in. They thanked me, asked about the dog's task, and everything seemed fine. On Friday, friends decided to join us, also with a service dog. I informed the property manager, and they acknowledged it. Hours later, I got a call saying the homeowner saw the second dog on camera and wanted to evict us. After some discussion, they claimed not to believe the second dog was a service animal and demanded more details. I provided what was necessary. The homeowner, Rick, then called, and I offered two options: move to another property or get a refund. He said he'd get back to me. Hours later, while we were at dinner, he texted saying we could stay, but the second dog had to leave—which made no sense. None of us felt comfortable staying, so we found new accommodations, packed up, and left that night. VRBO refunded their service fee, and Rick eventually issued a full refund. I would never book with this host again. The homeowner's behavior was unreasonable, making the stay unnecessarily stressful.

Hudson’s Hideaway

We stayed at Hudson’s Hideaway in the lead up to my wedding. This property was the perfect home base where we could cook together and share a lovely restful time in the large common spaces. We loved it here! Everything was turnkey and simple.

The perfect hideaway!

The Hudson Hideaway was the perfect place for our family to enjoy June Lake and the surrounding area. The house was clean, comfortable and well-equipped with everything you need. Great Stay

We had a really nice stay at this place. We did have younger children so the stairs were a concern for us as the main living area is upstairs and there’s no way to block off the stairs safely. If you have older children or just adults this home is perfect. Lots of rooms/beds. Plentiful linens and fans, the kitchen was very well stocked with all supplies needed to cook and store food. Home is in walking distance to everything which was so nice. Overall a great stay!

We love this home and June Lake Unfortunately, a big snow storm was expected on the day of our arrival and a really huge storm was predicted on the day of our departure.We did not feel comfortable traveling as we are both seniors (73) in those weather situations

Annual Fishing Trip

It is sometimes very difficult to find a place to accommodate 7-8 adults for our annual trip. This house was great location for our day trips to different lakes and the multiple bedrooms and bathrooms was ideal. I missed the check in e-mail and they were very responsive just hours before check-in.

Excellent fully stocked vacation home

The home was large, very spacious, and nicely decorated. The property management company made it sound like the kitchen would be very sparsely stocked, but WOW... tons of cookware, silverware, dining, nice grill, keurig machine, and more. There were also lots of games! The patio was lovely as well. We could walk to both June Lake and Gull Lake. Highly recommended!

We love coming to June Lake and staying at Hudson’s Hideaway. It’s great for families with lots of space and a great location in between June Lake and Gull Lake with beautiful views of the mountains. Very close to June Mountain. Rick is very responsive. The house has all your basic necessities. We loved it!

Family trip

It was such a wonderful experience overall! Our family really enjoyed Ricks place. Everything we needed was provided. It was nice to have a big kitchen where we could cook. His place is also really close to all the restaurants, June Mountain, and convenience store. Rick also responds super quickly if I ever needed to ask something. Hudson’s Hideaway, The Perfect Family Vacation!

Hudson’s Hideaway was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. It is very spacious and the open great room with large living area, kitchen and huge dining room table was so comfortable we spent most of our time there relaxing and enjoying the views. The dining table hosted the entire family every meal plus several game nights. We had a couple of days of thunderstorms but nobody minded, it gave us more time to enjoy the beautiful house. The kitchen is prefect with plenty of room for multiple cooks cooking together, the two sinks came In especially handy. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need and the large fridge and pantry had enough room for a 7 day supply of food and drink for 6 adults and 2 children. We ordered pizza one night but cooked and ate all other meals at home. The living room furniture was extremely comfortable and there was plenty of seating for all of us. Did I mention the master bedroom? Oh my, Mimi and Papa felt like we got a luxury getaway along with our family vacation! It was a perfect hideaway within Hudson’s Hideaway, the rain shower and jacuzzi tub are amazing, triple bonus points for the fireplace and multiple windows with beautiful views. I could go on forever with the accolades and could not be more pleased with my choice for our first family vacation post retirement. June Lake is wonderful and the house is in a perfect location within the Village, you can’t go wrong if you choose Hudson’s Hideaway for your next family vacation!
