“Shortly after arriving, told we couldn’t use the front door or elevator, once in the room realized the power was out. Paid for breakfast with our reservation, but the next morning was told it was not available. Ice machine didn’t work, when I asked the front desk was told I could find the info about ice machines in the elevator.”

“This is the only hotel with a full kitchen and washer dryer. We really appreciated the dryer after coming in out of the rain. We didn't do a lot of cooking, but it was very convenient to have some breakfast foods in the room and great to have some snacks and a cold drink waiting for us at the end of the day, which we enjoyed by the whale sculpture. There's a grocery store & a Domino's Pizza just a couple blocks away. Downtown was about a 25 minute walk, but very doable. Staff was very……

“This hotel is newly renovated and is possibly the nicest hotel in Juneau. The new owners put a lot into this. Rooms are spacious. All counters, desks headboard were handmade with locally sources lumber. Beds are comfy. Nice little kitchenette in each room. I would definitely stay here again and you should too.”

“The downtown location is excellent, the building and my room were decorated with antique furniture of the era, my bed was comfortable, and the linens were good quality. The lower 12" of the room were not so good, with chipped paint, old carpet, and sharp edging on the carpet by the sink. Plumbing worked well. My ensuite bathroom was small, but so were the shared bathrooms. The 2nd floor is reached only by 26 shallow steps, with handrails that don't reach all the way to the top or bottom. Staff……
