"Please note this is a harbor front motel with some rooms over the water. We came around early fall time after the summer season. We had a room at the end of the pier behind the tugboat. The view of the harbor was great. Room was clean. The atmosphere of the hotel is really quiet. There is a restaurant located within the tugboat itself. Waiting to be seated did take a while but the food was delicious and worth the wait. There is a lounge downstairs, drinks are good and staff is very helpful. Parking can be tight due to the parking lot being part of a dock, so its not recommended to bring larger vehicles or trucks. Town nearby offers plenty of restaurants with seafood options and shopping."

"Absolutely lovely stay at this cottage. The location right on the water is exceptional; morning coffee on the porch watching the lobster boats was so fun then experiencing the most beautiful sunsets completed our adventures in Boothbay Harbor and surrounding areas. Thank you Kathy, Dave and Jordan for your hospitality. We would love to come back again. I have been vacationing in Boothbay Harbor for almost 50 years and this cottage tops the list of my favorites!!"

"I have stayed at Oceangate twice now. The staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, with a microwave and frig, making it easy to take a meal in the room. The mattress was excellent and I got a good night's sleep every night. I loved having a view of the water from my balcony, and watching the light change as the sun went down. There was a variety of hot and cold choices each morning at breakfast. My only complaint is that the coffee could be better, other than that, it was a great stay."

"The cottage was perfect for a quick getaway! It was cozy and welcoming while also giving us space to stretch out and unwind after busy days. It was a quick drive to downtown Boothbay Harbor and Robinson's Wharf is walking distance to go to dinner but you are able to like you are away from everything at the end of the day."

"Despite horrible weather (nor'easter so we had one sunny day out of six) we had a nice stay at Periwinkle Cottage. The dock is a wonderful place to sit in the sun and watch the lobster boats come and go, and also has a great view of the swing bridge. You can walk to Robinson's Wharf for a great lobster dinner or do takeout. The seared sesame tuna, fried clams, and wedge salad were excellent. The Sea Maine host/property manager kept in touch with very good information in the days and weeks before our scheduled arrival, including friendly reminders about our stay and information on local restaurants and businesses. The cottage was spotless and any questions we had during our stay were quickly answered via text. We would definitely use Sea Maine Vacation Rentals again."

"The views from this property were stunning! We loved the porch and sunroom. The location was perfect, close enough to town for convenience but remote enough for peace and serenity. I would include in the description that this is a rustic cottage. I think the bathroom sink is original to 1922! Perfectly adequate but a little surprising— the photos are carefully framed so you don’t see the rust and old-fashioned faucets where you get cold water and hot water separately. It was a blast from the past. There were random nails sticking out from the walls. The furniture was a bit uncomfortable. But despite any drawbacks, we LOVED our time in this very special and unique cottage!!"
