First, thank you for your stay, I’m glad your family enjoyed their time there. You were informed that I live 5 minutes away. I am a retired builder and carpenter and can deal with a wide variety of issues given the chance, plus I lived and raised a family in that home for 18 years, before turning it into a vacation rental 5 years ago. You never once sent me a text or photo of anything you describe. I would have been there in 5 minutes, as many times as necessary to remedy any real issues, without a doubt or call whatever professional that is necessary, AC guy , plumber, appliance repair, what ever. I was not afforded that opportunity. Instead you chose to inform me after you left with a very long email. I politely thanked to for the great deal of detail. That was not sufficient for you, It soon became very clear that were looking a refund, and the mighty keyboard would be your weapon of choice if you didn’t get it , I didn’t flinch. I go to the house every day, no ants to be found. I provide 1 new role of Tp plus what ever is left per bath, laundry soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, roll of paper towels. The dock ladder has been removed, and will replaced. Small family gatherings are expected, larger parties need to be discussed with me. I would like to thank all of the wonderful families I have met or not met over the years, the vast vast majority are a pleasure to work with and testament to our society. I try my best and I wish everyone the best. Rob

I’m glad you were very happy with your stay, I know there were a few extremely heavy rains during your stay which would explain insects looking for “ higher ground, glad they were dead, the exterminator (every month for 22 years) must be doing his job. The house is cleaned thoroughly by the the same ladies every week for the last 5 years, to claim the house is not clean , is unfair and completely inaccurate.

Thank you Cindy for you kind words, I am so glad you and your family enjoyed yourselves. Coincidentally, after your stay we had a few days, my crew actually spend 2 days emptying every cabinet and shelf, discarding much stuff accumulated from various events. All drawers and shelves were thoroughly cleaned and liners installed, including the walk-in pantry. I always get 5 stars for clean . Thanks again Rob

Thank you for your 5 star review, and stating that you would come back. One of the bedrooms is small but accommodates a double bed, a closet and 5 ft dresser, the other is fine. The bedroom with separate entrance, bathroom , queen size bed, has 2 sitting chairs and has two 4 ftx8 ft picture windows, plus 2 other windows and a French door, all behind shades and curtains, which I assume you didn’t open since you didn’t use the room, actually the brightest bedroom in the house, when shades open. Firstly I'm mortified by this review as I always try to provide a great property and overall experience. 13 cars fit in front of the house and many more across the street, car pooling, uber or shuttling from Walmart ( 1 mile away) are always recommended for larger events. I will be cutting back the tree by the dock. I always get great reviews regarding cleanliness, however I have passed on cleaning related concerns to the cleaning crew. I will stipulate the small light stain on the ALREADY washed sheet was faded lipstick the size of a thumb nail, and was at the foot of the bed sheet...The paver planter ,at tire level had been professionally repaired 4 pm the previous day, and no one else had been on the property to my knowledge. Regarding my stressing of how to handle the garbage, people from a very recent wedding had chosen to bag the garbage and not use any of the 6 cans that I provide, the garbage men left all on the bags on edge of the street, and I had to truck 50 bags of garbage to the dump in my truck, I did not want to do that again. Previous guests also have moved a long table upstairs for some reason, moved outdoor furniture, and a heavy tile table to the garage or left in the middle of the lawn, and not put them back. These are the problems that I am try to prevent from happening again. I'm sorry that her experience was not as good as it could have been, but take it with a grain of salt, and please read some of the numerous 5 star reviews by the other happy and appreciative guests, Thank you for your time Rob .. Ps. I rarely see guests more than once, but I am local if any issues arise.
