Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Everything was as advertised. We were able to make breakfasts and lunches thanks to the fridge, toaster, microwave and kettle. There isn’t a lot of space for preparing food, but it was manageable. Also not a lot of space for hanging wet clothes and towels ( we got a lot of rain) but they do have a washer and dryer which was very useful.

Can't say enough good things about this place!The check-in process was very easy and accurately explained in advance of our arrival. The unit is exactly as described and spacious enough for two people (we stayed in the "Sunrise Suite"; there are several other units in this property).Parking is provided on-site (which is important). The pool and hot-tub are incredible (and an amazing way to spend time while doing laundry in the provided washer & dryer).The property is literally steps from Kailua Beach, an AMAZING beach away from all of the throngs of tourists in Waikiki.Kailua itself is amazing, with tons of great restaurants (Buzz's Steakhouse is walking distance and the Kalapawai Market, a great place to get your morning coffee, is about 1/2 mile away).We loved the place so much that we extended our stay (and just cancelled our reserveration in Waikiki). And Zak & Susan made it super-easy (great communication).Oh, and the sunrises across the street could be postcards! (see the included picture)I guess the only thing to point out is that this is NOT Waikiki (a great thing in my opinion!), which is about 30 minutes away by car.Overall, I'd give them six stars if that were available.

Love the homey vibe. Beach proximity, washer & dryer, host ability to assist us with a non- VRBO issue was great. Parking was a minor issue but easily resolved. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again. Thank you.

The parking situation was horrendous!! Young boys in the downstairs front unit were crawling all over our rental car parked cockeyed in the garage!! There needs to be a better, more convenient parking space for all the tenants..just impossible to get in and out..all the tenants were complaining! Loose toilet paper holder, light bar in bathroom not working properly and ants even in the bathroom! We enjoyed the pool and TV but parking and exiting were HUGE obstacles!!

This is a GREAT studio unit! Easily accessible to the BEST beach in the world, Lanikai! And a one minute walk to Kailua Beach. They have plenty of beach chairs and beach ‘toys’. They also have two bikes for pleasure riding.The unit was clean, checking in & out was a breeze! The owner was friendly and helpful. Communication was super easy.When they say a small car is ideal, they’re not kidding. I rented a Kia Soul and it just fit in my designated parking spot. Super fun trip! Hope to stay here again in the future! Aloha!

Prime location across from beautiful beach. Homeowner is very responsive. Would highly recommend staying on Windward side of island vs near hustle and bustle of Honolulu, and this property is lovely.

The property was clean, comfortable, and convenient. The owners were responsive. We took advantage of the bikes and beach chairs, umbrella, coolers. The place was great! We are thinking of bringing the family back and reserving entire property!

Kailua Beach, 2 friends

This unit was selected for location across from beach. Entry to unit is awkward as you walk thru another unit’s lanai. The property was listed as ‘sleeps 3’, but there is only a double bed and fold-out pad for the floor. Wicker furniture provided limited clean area to prepare food and the sink was in bathroom. Pool was lovely.

Great spot

You can’t beat Kailua/Lanikai for location with fantastic beaches for wind/sail sports, swimming, even boogie boarding and minor surfing, local hiking on the pillbox trail and a walk to town with lots of great places to eat. Steve and Susie were friendly. Their son Zac will be taking over management. Was hoping for a bike upgrade since the same squeaky bikes were there 30 years ago but that’s minor. Didn’t use them this time. Other beach chairs etc were adequate and nice to be able to use. Didn’t use the pool/spa but they were clean. No good airflow with windows open, even on very windy days so had to sleep with somewhat noisy AC and fans on. The room was smaller than we expected. No place for two of us to eat. Chair at desk was too tall for legs to fit below it and we are not big. Nice to have a TV with Roku app availability and wifi. Parking spaces are small so don’t bring a big car. Even a jeep is pushing it. Our fav place to eat at was Paia Fish Market, 1.4 miles away, easy walk. Nearby kayak rental would be great but we ran out of time. The kitesurfing lessons seem very expensive, so learn someplace else before you go. Hoping to come back to Kailua again.

I had a great stay. Upon my arrival, everything was in place, neat and clean. Parking was a little tight but doable. I will definitely stay here again and definitely recommend this as the place to stay on Kailua. The beach is beautiful, and everything is close (shopping and dining) in proximity.

Excellent location

The location and the owners were amazing. This is our new favorite area to stay in Oahu, across the street from the amazing Kailua Beach, and a 15 minute walk to the beautiful Pillbox trail and gorgeous Lanikai Beach (that both have no nearby parking). There is a nice table to eat at next to the pool, and the bed is very soft. The yard is gorgeous. We also loved all the beach gear and big beach towels. We hope to return.

Excellent Location!

Our stay was wonderful. The location of this property is incredible, right across the street from Kailua Beach Park. The room has everything you need for a short stay/not planning to cook every meal. The pool is beautiful and refreshing. Owners are so incredibly kind and respond quickly to any inquiries, we had the chance to meet them and really enjoyed their recommendations.
