Be prepared to have some type of vehicle whether it’s car, scooter, electric bike etc since most of the attractions are far from this location. "

"Excellent property, and wonderful, helpful staff. We had an ocean front room, which was amazing. The pool is great for kids and adults alike. The property is also located a little away from the busy part of Ali’i drive, which makes it great to relax at the end of the day after a day full of activities but is conveniently located near beaches and grocery/convenient stores. I highly recommend the property to anyone planning a trip to Kona."

"My husband and I stayed here for 4 days -the condo was in a great location and was well stocked with stuff for the beach. The bed was comfortable but it did get a bit hot and stuffy without AC….after a day we got more use to the heat. The roof top deck was great and my husband swam in the pool. It was nice to stay in a neighborhood and be able to walk everywhere. Would definitely stay here again."

"The condo is decorated nicely and located near restaurants and shopping area. The host answered us promptly with questions and addressing concern/issue. We met a nice "neighbor" on the same floor and had a pleasant visit with her and her dog. Kalalau beach is near by which provides nice snorkeling experience. We will come back and visit again."

"This was our second time staying at the Kona Castle Reef . This oceanfront unit was comfortable, tidy and an excellent layout. Some of the lighting fixtures seemed dated and Could use replacement . Having the bbq’s there as an alternative cooking option was fantastic. We can’t wait to visit again next year and hopefully secure the same unit as we did this time ."

"My two teen kids and I LOVED this place. It is beautiful and has a ton of character, we were so sad we o Lu got to stay for one night and really hope we can return someday. Hosts are exceptionally kind and interesting people, don’t miss a chance to chat with them a bit. I stayed at six places on my trip and this was definitely my favorite. Location is great too for walking into Kona town or getting to most other places n the island."

Comfortable lounging space, kitchen, and pool access for evenings in after snorkeling trips from Two Step (~40 minutes south) up to Beach 49 (~ 50 minutes north). Available gear includes snorkeling masks/fins (we brought our own) and some boogie boards. Teen enjoyed latter for a first attempt to body surf at beach across road. Thank you."

The bed is comfortable and I slept well. Minor issue with some small ants in the bathroom.owner was very responsive. I would definitely stay here again."

"What a great hotel. Prior to checking in to Pacific 19, we stayed at a resort that was triple the price. P19 was much more cleaner than the resort. This is the first time staying at this hotel since I was a kid 25 years ago and I love what they’ve done to it. Feels like a high end boutique resort. Will definitely be staying here again. Front desk lady was very kind and welcoming. "
