"Hotel is in need of a good cleaning and renovation. Hallway carpet needs to be vacuumed and has threads coming up at numerous seams. Doors to hallways from elevator lobbies are showing major wear & tear with large paint chips & marks from the housekeeping carts. Breakfast offerings are very limited to waffles, powdered scrambled eggs, sausage patty, yogurt, instant oatmeal, cereal (corn flakes or Raisin Bran), toast or small blueberry muffins. Coffee is also weak. "

"We stayed during the blizzard of 2026, so it may have been a harder time to keep everything clean, but the carpets on the stairs and in the hallways were very dirty, and the door to our bathroom wasn’t wiped down. Breakfast was good if you steered clear of the eggs and home fries and just stuck to the bagels and pastries. Again, that could have been a staffing issue due to the storm. Staff was vey friendly and I am thankful they had lights and heat, and the kids had a blast in the pool, just wanted to be honest with my review. "

"Bay view nice but if you choose „basket service“ it means NO service. TV had lots of channels but were of no relationship to handout in room. Cold floors (no rugs). Right next to hospital (possibly a good thing). Read about incredible breakfast….well increase if you are looking for packaged cheese sticks, boiled eggs (for real), cereal cups, etc. Nothing warm…frankly yuck… Way overpriced for what you get. If you are upstairs no elevator and stairway is steep and literally 2 foot or less wide…scary"

"During a hurricane the hotel lost all power for multiple days. There were no back-up generators, no access to food. The staff did not provide the Islander discount and refused any discount or refund for the second night that we cancelled after learning another hotel did in fact have a generator, heat and food. Zero customer service, not friendly, no interest in answering questions. Meanwhile, the guests pooled together and helped each other with finding food and coffee off site during 80 mph winds and blizzard conditions. The staff barely engaged or offered assistance. They ordered themselves food and picked it up during the storm without offering any help to the guests. The hotel was clean and nice, but the staff were useless."
