「We were within about 10 blocks of Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen Garden - this meant the only time we actually needed to ride the bus was to and from Kanazawa Station, only 3 stops away. The rest was completely walkable with kids. The apartment was located in Kinboro- well known for the several hundred year old Samurai residences. We were within a few hundred meters of excellent dining options. One of those was Izumino, whose amazing owners stuffed us with sashimi and crab cakes and spoiled...

「The location was excellent, but our experience with the host left much to be desired. Communication was slow, and when we did receive a response, it wasn’t helpful. The door lock was broken, and we were unable to use the code to lock or unlock the door throughout our entire two day stay. Additionally, we didn’t receive check in instructions until nearly two hours after our scheduled check in time and this was only do the fact we reached out to VRBO virtual agent since we did not get a response...

「The apartment was clean and bright. Cooking was possible and it was a very convenient location. Some messages weren’t responded to which is a problem in an unmanned hotel. Like most places in Japan there’s a real lack of flexibility around bedding (the eiderdown/doona is way too hot with no other options - take note management.)」
