"A trendy yet modern boutique hotel, with clean and quirky rooms, in addition to the most lovely, welcoming, and accommodating staff. This was our first time staying at Vastu Boutique Hotel and it absolutely did not disappoint. The location is approx a 25/30 minute drive from Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, and is surrounded by markets, endless food opportunities, and local culture. "Staff were drinking and gambling until late hrs for the three nights we were there. Smoking below our room. Not super friendly. Seems like it is the hub for staff friends to come over and party. I’m not particular about cleanliness but the actions of the staff is giving this hostel a poor review for me."

"Saput who runs Avalon House is an amazing host and helped us with everything to make our stay as smooth as possible. The price/quality ratio of this hotel must be one of the best in Kathmandu. I highly recommend anyone to stay here!"

"The lady who oversees the property was a very good host."

"Stayed for 2 days and it was unmatched. Service was outstanding. The BNB itself was outstanding. Free breakfast served fresh. I will be back next time I am in Kathmandu. Absolutely lovely owner and staff. Highly recommend you stay here. A little tough to find but it is down that dead end Street. Paid 600nr for a taxi from the airport. Not more than that."

"Very well maintained property. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Only issue was at check-in. I had reserved a room for a half day as my flight left in the evening. I had my text message from the hotel stating it would be $50 extra which I agreed to. Lady at the desk had to see the text. Take a screen shot and make a phone call to get approval. Rest of the stay was fine."

"Well located on the edge of Thamel, the tourist area. Down a lane beside the famous Garden of Dreams and the Tibetan Restaurant Garden of Joy. Quiet. Easy access to and from the airport. Handsome, young, attentive staff. Pleasant open downstairs area with small restaurant and bar. No elevator but low rise. I enjoyed my stay of 8 nights."

"The Nirvana Boutique Hotel is a little oasis in the middle the Thamel area of Kathmandu!! Their outdoor garden courtyard is the perfect place to relax with your meal or a drink after a busy day out! The staff are absolutely amazing, very helpful, friendly and warm! The breakfast was delicious and plentiful! I would highly recommend the Nirvana Boutique hotel!! "

"A great hotel on the outskirts of Thamel. Good breakfast and great staff. Restaurant food was descent and rooftop pool was nice but some of the pool decking could use some replacement. Towels available at the pool. The spa/massage options were well priced and good service. The laundry service I used for a few items was reasonably priced and items came back clean. The bedroom was large and bed decently comfortable. I would stay here again."
