It's clean, modern, safe and you feeling totally immersed in the forest/jungle. The staff were beyond polite and helpful, always greeting us warmly - especially those in the dining area. The bungalow rooms are very simple, with a/cand shower, clean an comfortable and cooectly priced. There is very good food served for breakfast and evening meals if you want them. “Location is good. Lots of ants and insects in the room. Host was welcoming. But be aware of food cost. Ask price before ordering. We order seafood dinner for three. He made combination of fish, calamari, tiny crabs and few shrimp and charged 50 dollars(water for drink). We paid as we did not ask before eating. Then he came back and ask 800 rupees for driver’s break fast. We paid. A minute later he came for driver’s accommodation cost. At that point we said, NO. We stayed 2 weeks in Sri Lanka.……

“Offers a very relaxing and comfortable stay. Located outside of town (will need to take a Tuk Tuk) but a great location for peace and quiet. Breakfast is very good/filling and dinner offers a nice selection of food which was very good. Highly recommend.”

“Gorgeous hotel in a beautiful setting. In the middle of the forest, this is a hidden little gem, with lovely spacious clean rooms, exceptionally friendly staff, and a luxury lodge like feel! It was out of season, so the hotel was quite quiet, and we had the pool to ourselves. I imagine this is the perfect spa retreat in peak season! ”

“Very disappointed, the hotel looked lovely in the photos but reality was a different story. With the exception of one waiter none of the staff seemed to know what they were doing. The pool was filthy and the water was green. The room was shabby and in desperate need of a refurb, broken bathroom fixtures, hole in sheet, dirty curtains, broken tie-backs. Bar area was okay but at breakfast our table was covered in flies. Avoid this place at all costs ”
