Escape with your special someone to this quaint, traditional cottage tucked down an alleyway in the heart of the lovely Lakeland town of Keswick. It’s a fabulous accommodation option if you want to spend happy days biking the trails at Whinlatter Forest (5 miles) before heading into the heart of Keswick (500 metres) to check out its lively food scene and relaxing pubs. Alternatively, make a beeline to Derwentwater to hire a rowing boat for the afternoon, or head to Skiddaw (5 miles) to go for a challenging hike.
Step inside this romantic bolthole for two and you’ll discover a welcoming open-plan living area. Bathed in natural light, the ambience is smart yet rustic. Head to the quaint kitchen area, which has a wonderful contemporary cottage-style vibe, and rustle up a romantic meal for two. Enjoy your dinner - along with some lovely fell views – at the dining table. After dinner, curl up on the armchairs in living area to watch your favourite movie. The glow from the wood burner is sure to add a little romance to the evening. At the end of the day, make your way upstairs and you’ll find a cosy bedroom adorned in a palette of soft, natural tones. A pretty feature fireplace adds a little glamour.
Head out of the kitchen door and you’ll find a pretty enclosed patio that gets plenty of afternoon sun – a wonderful spot to enjoy an al fresco lunch or a glass of wine under the stars.
