Great Lake Side Retreat!
We had a great time staying at this property! We are a family of four with two girls who are 4 and 8. My wife and I are in our late 30's. I share this because the sleeping arrangement for our girls was perfect but the loft bed for my wife was difficult to climb in and out of. It would certainly not work for anyone who is afraid of heights. Other than that, we loved everything else about the cottage. We loved having our meals on the elevated deck and the easy access to the small private beach. We started a fire in the fire pit one evening and enjoyed the beautiful sunset as well. The cottage has almost everything you need other than towels and sheets. We also had to bring our own toilet paper and hand soap. Most people probably think of that but it didn't cross our mind. We were able to make a few meals there (including on the charcoal grill!) and enjoy a movie and a game night (we brought our own games).
The location of the cottage is very nice too if you are not interested in staying too close to any of the towns in the area. We were about halfway between Traverse City and Charlevoix (about 30 minute drive to either one) and very close to King Orchards!
Ken was great to work with and I have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about him! He is very easy to communicate with and very helpful with any questions you may have. He even sent us weather updates in the days leading up to our arrival!
Overall, we loved our stay and will cherish our week there anytime we think about this family vacation!
