Would definitely go back

Very clean- not a single thing that wasn’t thoroughly clean! Very comfortable and great decks. Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Some low water pressure in kitchen and half bath.

We complained many times to the management company of issues with property. AC unit leaking water in the hall dripping from ceiling. No hot water in upstairs shower. Ants in the kitchen. Webels got into our dry food.No one ever came to take care of the issues and we were there for a week.

Key Colony Experience

The property was in a perfect location to see all the sights of the Keys. The neighbors were lovely and gave us lots of info about the area. The house was spacious for the 7 of us. The only issue I had was the couch, couch pillows and floors were a little grungy. They could could all use a good cleaning. Also for small children the railings on the deck were very dangerous as the iron spindles are quite far apart. We added a plastic webbing from the Home Depot to keep the one year old from falling through the railing. Other than that the property was nice.

Great for friend reunion

This home like all the others has a channel view with palm trees in the way, but as we learned the first day, they are there to cut down the hot afternoon sun. We loved the size of the home, everyone has a private bathroom plus a powder room. The balcony was a nice spot in the beautiful warm weather, however the chairs are too big for the space, one needs repair and we had to take a plastic one outside and inside as only 5 chairs inside. Kitchen is big enough for several of us all at once and decently appointed. Pool was great and beach was within walking distance for us in our 70’s, also tennis courts across the street! It was missing wash cloths but one word and we had more brought to us the next day! We would go back again. Having said that some improvements would even make it better; all the plumbing details are old and stoppers missing, twin beds squeak terribly, be careful with water temp, it can get very hot, a safety handle is missing in the twin bath, the stair hand rail is scary to use at the top, nothing to really grab onto. But, all minor things. The house has been used and it shows, if you are looking for high end luxury, this is not the place. If you are looking for comfort and fun in the sun, yes!

Getaway in the Keys

We stayed here to celebrate our daughter's graduation from college. It's central location in the Keys made it the perfect spot to stay. We took advantage of the dock and rented a boat for the week which was a lot of fun. Everyone in our group can't wait to do it again!

Expectations met.

Everything was easy from booking to check in and check out. Great location, very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. There was only one thing we had to 'deal' with, ants. Some in the kitchen and upstairs bedroom, but nothing that inconvenienced us or changed the experience.

GM of vacasa never called me back after promising to call me when my home was ready

I was told by 3 reps I could check in early. When my family got to the home it was open and I layed down the property manager came in the front with out knocking and proceeded to yell get your stuff and get out. 2 times I asked her nicely who she was and then she said I am the property manager and you need to get your stuff and get out. I NEVER IN ALL MY LUFE HAVE BEEN SPOKEN TO LIKE THAT BY A MANAGER. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THE GM FROM VACASA CAME AND PROMISED TO HANDLE EVERYTHING AND WE WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF AND ASSURED ME HE WOULD CALL WHEN MY HOUSE READY TO COME BACK TO. WELL NO Call ever came back from him at all no email no text nothing. I will never ever use vrbo, vacasa EVER AGAIN. NO FOLLOW UP IS JUST TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. AND JUST TO MENTION THE MAINTENANCE PERSON NEVER CAME BACK GRILL WAS NOT WORKING jacuzzi tub was not working

Nice location with lots of space

This property is a nice place to stay with a family. Bathrooms in every bedroom with a bonus 1/2 bath is very nice. Being on the canal was nicer than I expected. There were boats to watch and the canal is clean. The house isn’t luxurious, but it is perfect as a home base for your family vacation. There is plenty of space to relax both inside and out. The parking area under the home is plenty big enough and keeps your car out of the sun. The Cabana Club is not a resort level pool and beach, it is a neighborhood pool on a small section of beach. It doesn’t look like much from the road, but once you’re inside it is nice friendly clubhouse with a bar and grill. Do NOT go to or order from the pizza place on the causeway. You will starve before you get your order! Island Fish Co across the highway is recommended.

Great neighborhood and accommodations with a few hiccups

Great stay and nice quiet neighborhood. Plenty to do right there. Just a few little things that went wrong.. we tried to check in at 4 but were told they would need two more hours to clean so we just sort of circled the town for a couple of hours... also, hose didn’t work outside and tub upstairs didn’t work either. But overall had a wonderful time.. all the important things were covered

Relaxation

The property is located on a channel. It was so enjoyable to be able to get my breakfast and coffee and sit out on the patio to enjoy the beautiful mornings and watch the boats go in and out. Everything we needed was close by. We did enjoy a day in Islamorada and a day in Key West but mostly just enjoyed the relaxation of the property and the area.

Key Colony Beach condo

My family and I spent an amazing week at this location. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Kitchen was well equipped and easy to cook full meals. We enjoyed charter fishing and the Turtle Hospital on Marathon, and made day trips to more southern keys like Key West. KCB is a relaxing, family friendly community. We enjoyed public pickle ball and golf right across the street from the condo. Cabana with pool and ocean access was a great addition. Would definitely return.

Nice place

Nicely located on the water. The neighborhood was filled with nice people. Beach and restaurants within walking distance. The place was well kept. A few little things needed repair but nothing that you wouldnt see anywhere else and did not negatively affect our stay here. Definitely a place to rent again

Key Colony Beach

Spacious condo with plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen is nicely set up for cooking, high end stove and cookware. Could use a few more medium sized serving bowls, but otherwise we found everything we needed to cook full meals. Brand new public tennis and pickle ball courts across the street. Cabana club is well maintained and serves tropical cocktails poolside. Loved the location within the Keys, close to state parks for snorkeling, and perfect for day trip to Key West. Would definitely return to this Location.

Charm is gone.

The location of the property was great. Glad that we had plenty of boating to do. The house interior was in major need of updates!! Personal family pics around was strange for a rental. Lots of old knickknacks and dust collectors. Old furniture that may have been clean but didn’t appear so. Baskets on sinks old and dusty. No hand towels. No blow dryer. Little ants all over kitchen counter. Hole in side door near lock. One slider door did not move easily. Even dishes needed update. Counter stools were old. Some were taped up on legs. Pics were deceiving. But the hidden fees after you hit “reserve now” nearly DOUBLED the price.

Great vacation

Fishing was great. We caught a lot of dolphin and tuna. The diving was supper as well. We saw manatees from the dock while cleaning fish. The only problems we had were tiny ants on the counter in the kitchen, but we did not let that bother us. We had a supper time. The house is a duplex as most rentals here are.

Just like being home

We have been ging to the Keys for 40 years and it does feel like our home. Tropical charm has been out base for over 10 years. Our stay each year has varied between 3 and 6 months in KCB . The Cabana club membership is a tremendous perk that comes with this rental. The owners have been easy to work with and always wanted us to be happy . The location is convenient to all that is offered in Marathon. The rental is clean and freshly painted some updates have been made in the last few years. Our only suggestion would be updating dishes and silverware. We look forward to more wonderful vacations in our home away from home.

great value in Key Colony

House was very well furnished. lots of extra towels, dishes, and pots and pans. Appliances were top notch, great layout on lovely canal. Easy walk to the club and right next to tennis and golf.
