Derby and golf

We had a lovely stay at the property. The house was great for a large group. The pool and beach were amazing. The only suggestion I would have are more cooking utensils in the kitchen…other than that, would highly recommend and would gladly come back.

Great Family Vacation!!!

We have stayed at a number of homes on Kiawah. This was our favorite. The home was well appointed and had everything you could ask for. The pool area was large and allowed everyone to interact in or out of the pool. Excellent location for our 10 person family vacation!!!!

Great house; outstanding location

Our family of 8 including three generations enjoyed this beautiful house with southern charm of big porches, front / back, enjoyed the swing. The pool was perfect for our kids which enjoyed for hours. Being this close to the beach made for convenient back / forth. Thanks again!

An amazing week

We had four adult couples staying here in April to celebrate a family birthday. The space worked very well for the 8 adults. The home is large, quiet, and comfortably furnished. We especially liked the large dining table that allowed us all to eat dinner together. The location is ideal: access to the beach via our own path, as well as via Kiawah’s public beach access points and bike paths. Views from the two back patios were beautiful for both breakfast and evening — you really have to see them to appreciate them. The many patios (front and back) were extensively used and appreciated.From a practical perspective, the elevator was great and helpful, and the washer/dryer worked perfectly. Several of the appliances were new (the dishwasher was a champion). We went with the option to heat the pool and were glad we did, as that afforded yet another way to enjoy the home.Over the course of a week, we had no complaints about any of the basics (water pressure or temperature, etc.) and the place was very clean. We did have an issue with the disposal, but the property management company (Sweetgrass) was fantastically responsive, and the problem was addressed very quickly. Everyone had very positive things to say about Sweetgrass.My wife and I have rented homes at Kiawah half a dozen times now, and we always worry that the pictures and the reality won’t line up (it happens). That was NOT the case with this home: it delivered on everything it promised.

Thanksgiving 2023, 43 Surfsong

A beautiful property, great for large families! Many stairs, but there is an elevator, thank god! This is an older property, and shows some ware! It has many amenities, dishes, pots, pans , games, kitchen utensils etc, and plenty of seating for dining! There were some issues, nice tv’s but very technical to operate, we had to have the property manager come in to help us get the big flat screen in the great room working! Many light switches, but most were labeled, thank god, they will drive you crazy! The lights in the garage did not work, at all, at least couldn’t figure out how to make them work, a real safety issue because it is very dark in the garage when doors are closed. But overall very nice property, and wonderful family house, and easy access to the beach!

Family Beach Trip

Great weather everyday. Excellent location in proximity to the beach. Had an issue with gas grill working properly and it was fixed very quickly. Grandson is 2 and he is still talking about the fun he had. Would definitely rent again!

The house was very well appointed and very clean with plenty of space. We were a short boardwalk stroll to the most beautiful quiet beach. The bike trails were flat and so scenic. We enjoyed fresh seafood every night. The only negative was we had hoped the pool would be heated and it wasn't but our gracious property managers compensated us for the inconvenience. we hope to be back soon!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Our kids have fond memories of Kiawah vacations when they were young and wanted to continue the tradition. This lovely home provided the perfect place to do that. It was beautiful, comfortable, clean and accommodated our needs down to the hanging swing chairs that provided our daughter a wonderful spot to feed the baby. Perfect house, perfect location. None of us wanted to leave and that says it all.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First week in June took our kids, their spouses and our grandkids to 43 Surfsong and we all had an incredible time. The house was perfect, the pool was perfect, the proximity to the stores, ocean, Charlestown, etc... tea perfect too. We've been doing this (big family vacation) every two years, for a while now, and this place is the first one we've considered as a repeat location. We were blessed with GREAT weather (out of the 7 days we were there, only 1 day with any rain-unreal) able to watch , as a family, our Cleveland Cavaliers play and WIN the NBA Finals capping off a vacation THIS FAMILY WILL NEVER FORGET! We thank GOD for blessing our family as he has and keeping us all safe during the trip. I recommend ESPM Vacation Rentals wholeheartedly.
