Beautiful home for a family beach vacation

My family and I had a wonderful stay at 338 Surfsong. The house is beautiful and very spacious. The pool was the highlight for us and where we spent most of our time. It does get pretty sunny in the morning/early afternoon so a few umbrellas would have been nice but the trees provide some nice shade later in the afternoon. We also loved sitting outside on the porch off of the main floor. The view is stunning and there’s a nice breeze from the ocean in the evening. We ended up eating outside for dinner multiple nights.There are two living spaces on the main level. We spent more time in the smaller one because there’s a TV and we enjoy watching a movie at night. It was fine for us because we were a smaller group but, for a larger group, it would be ideal to have the TV in the bigger living space. The bedrooms were a nice size, beautifully decorated and each had an on-suite bathroom. The kitchen is huge with all high end appliances making cooking easy and enjoyable. While the house has beach access, it’s a bit of a walk. The walkway has stairs and then you have to walk through some dunes to get to the beach. We have small children and typically take our stroller to the beach which was not possible. The beach is very nice but we didn’t end up spending much time there given the logistical challenges. Overall, we loved the house and had a great experience in Kiawah.
