Perfect for Two

The layout of the space was great and had everything we needed. The additions of the outside shower and patio area added convenience to our trip. Having the bikes on hand for use was wonderful addition.

Do your research

This unit was a lovely unit. The bed was hard and very uncomfortable. If you’re looking for a firm mattress this is the place for you. If you are an older couple, I would not recommend staying here. The furniture was low to the floor, difficult to get out of. There is no stove only a small microwave. You are not able to cook food in this unit. Even the plates and glasses were in the bottom cabinet which made it difficult to retrieve. There is no kitchen table to sit at for your meals, only a coffee table, which you had to bend over to eat it. I should’ve done more research and realized there was no stove for cooking so we had to eat out three times a day, which can be costly on a budget. This place would be great for a younger couple. This unit is not within walking distance to a beach and has no beach views

Good, but know what to expect

The area itself was tranquil and located so close to everything, which I loved! The unit was nicely sized/equipped for the price and is exactly as pictured. I've lived in basement units before, so I know what to expect, and I think if the owner/property management company just do a little soundproofing on the interior door that's locked/shared with the upstairs unit, it would go a LONG way in helping with voices traveling. I stuffed a towel there, which helped a lot. Property management was great, they were super responsive when the AC happened to go out one night. Unfortunately, one of the nights I was there, the dog in the upstairs unit clearly had separation anxiety and barked for an hour straight while they were at dinner. The barking sounded as if it was literally right next door to me because of its location (I wish they had put the crated dog in the carpeted bedrooms and on the part over the carport instead of directly next to the stairwell connecting the units). To me, it was worth some of the pain points - no place will ever be perfect unless you're paying a ton or renting out an entire unit with no surrounding properties (aka unheard of).
