Great place to stay you are almost directly in the middle of the outer banks - with Cape Hatteras 50 minutes away and Maneto 35 the other way you can't go wrong with whichever choice you make when you get up both ways have so much to offer

Hadn't been to Kill Devil Hills in many years. It has built up with a lot more restaurants and shopping. We were not there on a weekend so traffic wasn't too bad. Restaurants do get busy at dinner time, so recommend going early.

Cold & windy if you are right on the beach, so bring warm jacket with hood/hat. Half of the restaurants are closed from November-March. Also, Colington needs a facelift--those trailers, tacky bar, and run down watermen's businesses need to go.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Wright Brothers site. My wife has a gluten problem and we were able to fine a diner where she could get something to eat.

Kill Devil Hills was a good location not only for going to the beach, but for visiting other tourist spots in the Outer Banks.

Most restaurants were closed on Tuesday night, but the ones that were open were packed. Had a good meal at Plaza Azteca.
"This is going to be our go-to stay whenever we visit the Outer Banks, NC. I had a partial ocean view room, and it was lovely. Had the greatest sunrise experience on our private patio. The amenities of this place were great. Since I only stayed a day couldn't use most of it, so there will always be a next time. "

"The hotel was very clean, and the staff was friendly. I really liked that the beach was just across the street, and that the hotel had a beachfront building with restrooms, showers, pool, and a snack bar."
