“We had a great time at this cottage. If you've never been to Nags Head/South Nags Head before, there is a road running parallel to the beach, and then some roads running perpindicular, with 3-6 houses. This is one of those types of "neighborhoods." So while you're not "beachfront," so to speak, you're not crossing a streat to go to the beach, just like the description says. For me, its' the best way to get the beach front experience in an affordable way. It was just a very short walk past one……

“Returned 40 years later from our 1st stay, when it was in its original ocean front location, to this 2025 stay. Classic, historic, dedicated beach access, lovely grounds, lush landscaping and gardens, and a great vibe. Rocking chairs and porch swings harken back to the good ‘ol days. Wonderful breakfasts by Chef Georgia, with eclectic culinary creations. Just love this ‘old woodie’ hotel in the original classic OBX architectural style.”

“Hot water for dayz! Water pressure was fantastic in shower. Shower head was actually above my head we are 6ft tall family. Kitchen has full size fridge and freezer. Did not use the oven, stove worked great. Only complaint was the loud neighbors at night. But you can hear EVERYTHING through the walls so nothing really can be done about that. Office was open and staffed daily. We'd were able to get extra towels and toilet paper when needed. Walking distance to anything you need. Fantastic……

“Walk across the street to the public beach access. Next to an ice cream parlor. Nice place for people wanting an old school hotel and not the holiday in express. Good parking. Enjoyed the trip back in time. ”
