Weird but Worthwhile

The room was nicer than expected. It was also quiet, a surprise given the number of solo working men in residence. Not sure what happened to the free WiFi and breakfast that were advertised. And some strange woman stood outside my room and yelled “Tamales, tamales, tamales” for ten minutes at about 8:30 p.m. Other than that, the place was comfortable, spacious and quiet.

The place is under renovation. My room was clean. It didn’t have a coffee maker, but had a microwave and a refrigerator. Had 4 comfortable pillows. The bathroom furniture was deteriorated. The sofa bed was too low to sit if you are an elderly person. Staff was cordial. Not enough towels on hand. I was too tired to request more and ready to shower. Noise was not a problem. Market and eatery places in walking distance. Quick Access to the Fwy. I like the pricing and will stay here again after renovation.

The property is undergoing remodeling. However, the bedsheets were dirty (stain) the bathroom was dirty not properly clean. The towels were also dirty. Other guests were smoking on the non-smoking area. The room was big and there was plenty of open space to place our luggage.

At first the room seemed ok. I did ask for a room on the first floor because my hip was acting up. But the lady in the front said there wasn’t any rooms available. Ok, that’s fine. When I walked into the room, the first thing I noticed was a hot Cheeto puff on the floor of the room….then by one of the beds dry mud. So I guess they didn’t sweeper mop. I was so tired I didn’t care. I knocked out for a bit on the bed without undoing the bed. Finally I got up to use the restroom and I was gonna get under the blankets
