  • Notable for being one of Norfolk’s highest villages, Docking is home to an ancient church alongside all the modern-day essentials, including a pub, children’s play park, village store and fish bar. The surrounding countryside is a delight for walkers, with the Peddars Way running west of the village as it heads to Holme-next-the-Sea and joins the Norfolk Coast Path. History buffs can visit three great country houses within 11 miles: Sandringham, Houghton and Holkham, while for those who enjoy bird-watching, the RSPB Titchwell Marsh reserve (5.5 miles) is a must-see. If celebrity-spotting and boutique shopping are more to your taste, upscale Burnham Market is 6 miles away. For family fun, enjoy beach games on the vast sands of Brancaster (5 miles), explore the dunes at Old Hunstanton (7 miles) or venture further to Wells-next-the-Sea (11 miles), famous for its picturesque harbour and vast, sweeping sands backed by colourful beach huts and pine woods.

    Pull up on the driveway and take your luggage straight into the hall. As sleep-time approaches, take the stairs from the hall to the first floor, where the master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and its own en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is a double, and the third has bunk beds; a family bathroom completes the comfort for all.

    Your living space extends into the rear garden, where steps from the patio area lead onto a lawned area edged with trees and shrubs. Sit in the fresh air and listen to the birdlife. To the front of the house, the driveway has parking for up to three vehicles.
