“I did ring Tina regarding a couple of things and she was pleased to get feed back. For example no blue bags to put dirty linen in . The cottage was decorated inside and out for Halloween and as older adults did not want to look at them inside the cottage didn't mind outside. I have recommended the cottage to family in same village for visiting family and friends.”

“Had a lovely stay in Smugglers cottage despite the wet weather but were very comfortable to stay inside when needed . Great location to all the amenities on offer in Dartmouth. Apartment very well equipped and modern . Shower a little difficult to adjust but maybe due to water pressure ? Perhaps an electric shower might help ? Will certainly be back again 😊”

“There was a slight issue when we checked in as the information folder containing wifi codes etc was missing. But this was quickly resolved by contacting the owners, who were friendly and responded quickly to messages. Overall the accommodation was great, spacious and very quiet. But at the same time close to local facilities and transport. We would definitely stay again if visiting the area.”

“The location and size of this apartment was perfect for us. It was decorated nicely, neat and tidy. For working remotely for a week it was good but if I was staying for longer, I would have preferred to have better working conditions. I worked using the kitchen table as my work desk which then couldn't be used for dining. Also the cooking possibilities were limited as the kitchen is small and therefore can't have too many bowls or utensils (for example there is no whisk or chopping boards). But……

“I have stayed in these cottages many times For work and pleasure. Always exceptionally clean and kept to a very high standard. Steve and Tina have always looked after us well and been very accommodating with last minute bookings. 10/10”

“The only reason for the lower condition rating is the visible mould around the master bedroom window which needs remediation. The new wooden wardrobe in that room is currently unusable due to a strong musty smell. Aside from this, the barn is beautifully presented with many thoughtful details. The automated wooden gates provide access to private and ample parking, and the property is surrounded by open fields. Just outside the cottage there is a wooden table positioned to take in the……

“The advert on the hotels.com website did not match the facts of the stay. The advert states free parking it was not it cost me £30 for the stay. We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. It was the fault of hotels.com as he does not use them you get your info from a 3rd party All I know is that I am £30 out of pocket. The stay was good as I can not blame hotels.com for all the rain.”

“The ability to get to restaurants etc in the harbour was poor as very long way down and steep climb up. No smart TVs no Spotify on Alexa and the request to leave apartment clean was unacceptable as would have better service from a hotel and the price paid was high end and expectations were not met.”

“Lovely apartment. Really well laid out. Everything that you need is there and always so clean. Stayed before and will definitely stay again.”

“Lovely flat with a cracking view But...... Internet was lousy which meant the nice smart TV was unusable. Tried getting hold of the management but emails didn't get answered and telephone call centre was a contect centre who couldn't really help and promised a call back which didn't happen. ”
