No humans available. We didn’t get the lockbox instructions. Representative not available by phone, only whatsapp. Eventually received lockbox instructions. Key was difficult to use. Need new lock.

Nice property but way over priced
The room is very large. But there is only 1 chair to sit on and loads of room for a small table and some chairs. The floors are very creeky and you can hear all the neighbouring rooms. This place has great potential in an amazing location, but needs a tidy up. Parking was ok but would be a nightmare in peak season. I learnt after staying that there is a kitchen onsite. It would have been nice to know this before hand. There is no common area to sit and read a book or mingle with other guests. The heaters were not on during the first night and it was freezing. You are basicslly staying in a hostel without any ability to socialise.

The amount of stairs to get to the front door made it difficult to get luggage up and down . The room was nice We had issues with WiFi password could not read the handwritten password on paper in hallway . Never got sorted out . But location was perfect o walk to restaurants and shops .

Clean, very nicely decorated, very spacious room and bathroom. Can only be reached by short walk up the stairs, but this was clearly mentioned in the posting. Our toilet did not flush. It was repaired the next day, but should have been taken care of before our arrival. I recommend this property

We had a spacious room with a great bathtub. We were able to find street parking easily and could walk wherever we wanted to go. There was a little confusion with the check in only because we did not get the email letting us know how to find the key and get in. There was a nice gentleman there cleaning and he helped us out. I would stay there again and would definitely recommend it to others. Kinsale is beautiful.

Le gros point négatif c'est qu'il a été très difficile de communiquer avec l'hôte. Pas de réponse courriel, pas de réponse à la porte une fois sur place et nous n'avons jamais réussi à téléphoner non plus... Par contre, une fois les informations transmises par courriel quelques heures avant l'arrivée seulement et les clés reçues, la place est super tranquille et c'est vraiment un magnifique endroit qui se trouve à proximité de tout. J'y retournerais probablement malgré tout.

Beautiful place & easy self check in. Building was very difficult to find. Hidden in the back and we had to ask Locals how to get there… once we found it, it was perfect. Clean and had all we need. Within walking distance to all the main sites. Worth staying at!

The outside is very poor, I was dreading going inside when we finally opened the front door. The actual room was very nice. The towels were very worn and old. We also had a bat in the room. Don’t think I’ll stay again.

Great property, lovely, clean. Very difficult to find, up stairs off street, not well-marked. Confirmation e-mail with codes not sent until 11 am, when we were without internet, contact did not answer phone.

pictures of the property do not reflect the it's location in relationship to the road. Made it difficult to see the entry from the road... Need a sign out at roadside to clearly locate property

Room 5 is top floor, up several flights. Room was okay, however this was the attic room and it was quite hot. There were also no operating windows, only skylights that did not open. I think this is a definite violation in terms of fire safety. Checkin was contactless. Location is not immediately obvious. There were no electrical outlets in bathroom and no mirrors elsewhere so hair styling, shaving had to be done sans mirror

Property was very nice, attractive room however the bed was uncomfortable and the ‘king’ size bed was a ‘queen’ size. Also it should be advertised as on a hill with only way to reach it is climbing steps with your luggage.

We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Varun was a fantastic host, gave us all the information ahead of time and left us to it (whilst still making us feel welcome). Our room and bathroom were much bigger than expected with incredible views, clean and quiet. Will absolutely stay here again if back in the area. Thanks for a great stay!

Easy, clean and close to town!
My partner and I had a lovely stay at the Old Dispensary. This was our second time staying there and I would go back again. I am a fan of the no-fuss check-in where you just collect the key and let yourself into your room at check in time and leave the key in the box when you leave. It is a stone's throw from the centre of town and there are some great restaurants and pubs a few mins away. Would recommend to anyone.

Definitely didn't get money's worth for the high price. There was no hot water. The TV didn't work. There was no hair dryer. But most shocking was that the bed was not made for our second night and the wet towels were left on the floor. The owner lives in England so people who care for the property are left to their own. To give her credit, Julie the manager was pleasant and got the TV man to come in. Oh yes, bed was lumpy. DON't STAY HERE!

Foodie heaven in an area with 800 years of history
In the heart of Kinsale next to some of the best food restaurants in Ireland. Meri (the manager) was attentive to our needs and made reservations for us when we arrived late so that we did not miss out on the food experienceWe stayed 3 days and filled each day with great experiences including a 2Km walk to the old fort of Charlestown, educational and inspirational .

Beware 7 day cancellation policy
Booked hotel, but requested to cancel. Hotel has a 7 day cancellation policy which I failed to see in the small print. Hotel would not honour request from hotels.com or by email to cancel five days before arrival. Room could easily have been resold and possibly was.

Interesting building on the outside, when I found it, even the tourist office was unaware. Beware, there is no one at the property to check you in. When “Meri” from Croatia, finally arrived she proceeded to tell me how much she had to do. As she explained, this included checking guests in to 4 properties, explaining procedures, making reservations and cleaning rooms, never mind the guests paying. Did I mention good luck finding a parking spot on the street quite a distance away? Skip this one.

The room was great, it wasn’t the room I booked but nice nonetheless. The bathroom was awesome, clean with great water pressure and overall appealing and cozy. Check in was the main issue, however I did book only 2 hours in advance but another couple was having the same issues and they booked months before. No onsite staff.
