Great location to avoid the crowds / giant hotels and yet close to the town's only Lawson. Rooms are traditional and spacious. Minimal English here, but the older receptionist is extremely friendly and tries their very best to convey information. Onsen itself is underwhelming but the day I stayed had literally no guests so I had it all to myself.
room is big and clean. we arrived at around 1am at night and there was a note written in english (this is very important as there are hotels in japan only write in japanese!!) with a phone at the entrance so check in was smooth. although the receptionist doesn't speak any english. no bath in room so have to bath in public bath, onsen is authentic and is the sulphur type. would recommend this place

The room was too hot, the air conditioner cannot adjust according to wish. The room do not have bathroom. We need to pay for hot spring in order to access the only available bathing facility inside the hot spring. However, the water closet was not function well inside the hot spring.
