"The property itself is so beautiful. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were as described and actually quite large. We really enjoyed the balcony. Note all rooms are smoking but as a non smoker it did not really bother me after they they used the spray. "

"Wonderful stay made possible by amazing staff. Warm, kind and true Japanese hospitality. Food was fantastic and guests hv 1hr use of private onsen each day of stay. Public onsen has an outdoor pool that was breathtaking at night. Stargazing was a memorable experience (tho info shared were mostly in Japanese). Our most memorable stay and we are glad we stayed for more than one night! "

"Our Japanese style room was a great experience with an amazing view of the mountain, river, and waterfalls. The half board dinner and breakfast were excellent meals and they accommodated our vegetarian diet (with advanced notice). And best of all the numerous hot spring options were so relaxing and amazing. Had we known it would be so great we would have stayed longer!!"

"Great location for the hotel to see both the Shinhotaka ropeway and the Kamikochi park. Inside it was clean, quiet and, of course, great private onsens. 2 indoor and 1 outdoor. Water was very hot, but relaxing. Will definitely book again if we're back here"
