"We had a lovely time here! We were travelling by public transport, and this spot is a little of out of the way, but they sent a shuttle to the train station and it was easy to arrive. It was not clear from their website that the restaurant would not be open for dinner, and the closest restaurant by foot (other than McDonald's) was a 30 minute walk away. That was no problem; we had a nice walk, a great dinner, and really loved the onsen!"

"I went here as a single traveller with little to Japanese language skills and found it amazing. Though the staff had limited English, everything was communicated well and I felt very welcomed and comfortable. It’s very close to all the main attractions of Nara, but out of the way enough to where you’re not surrounded by people all the time. If I ever go back to Nara, I will certainly stay here again. "

"Such a beautiful and charming place! It has the vibe of a local inn with renovated modern touches. The atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing. The room was comfortable and clean and had a great view. I drank so much good tea and bathed in a tea bath while learning about the history of tea. If you love tea you will love this place. "It is a 3 storey building with no elevator so if you have heavy luggage and are staying on floor 2 or 3 you will need to carry it up the stairs. Washing machine and drying function in the bathroom was fantastic."
