We enjoyed our family vacation at "Gone With The Wind"! The fee we paid for housekeeping was unacceptable. The kitchen was not cleaned, the countertops dirty from the last set of guest, the oven had left over food caked to the bottom, the microwave had not been cleaned, the knife block had food sprayed up on it, the freezer had colored ice sticking to the bottom and the extra refrigerator outside smelled of fresh fish - I definitely don't found this "Clean or sanitary"! The grass was knee-deep when we arrived and the garbage cans were still in the front of the house empty. We arrived at the house shortly after 4PM check in time.There was plenty of room for our kids and grandkids to relax in the house, on the numerous decks, pool area and in the hot tub. The kitchen is large enough for several people to cook, clean up, etc. at the same time. The large table and array of bar stools made eating all at once a plus! The house is located on a private community street. The beach is a short hike from the house. The owners have board games, bikes, beach items, etc for your use. The sand and swings under the house were a great treat for the kids in the evening or mid-day to stay out of the sun. Plenty of parking under the house and driveway for 8 cars/trucks. The age of the house is somewhat apparent, but is overall in rather good shape.There is a pottery artist located a few houses up with some fantastic handmade items. There is a reasonably priced parasailing, jetski, boat, etc rental establishment at the entrance of the street. We would consider staying here again!
