  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Sea salt stay

Enjoyed our stay very much. House was great. Good location. Short walk to the beach and easy walk to Duck shopping and restaurants. Very clean and nice amenities. Host communication was great too.

As advertised... plus other amenities

House as advertised! Plus, it had some extra amenities (e.g., extra beach chairs, umbrellas, beach cart) in case something was needed. Easy walk and access to the beach. Duck boardwalk, shops, and restaurants are ~a mile away and walkable. We would certainly stay here again!!

Excellent vacation home with lots of extras!

The host thought of everything! Beach towels, sand toys, beach equipment, outdoor shower and foot wash, games, puzzles...anythong you needed was supplied! Adorable decor, spacious kitchen, perfect outdoor deck, clean pool, easy access to the beach! I would definitely recommend Sea Salt and would stay again!

A nice beach house

Great place, a lot of nice details to make a house a beach house. Could have used a more direct access bathroom from the pool, but otherwise a really cool place with nice little details.
