This beautiful cozy private cottage is ocated in Poipu Beach Estates - a premier neighborhood on Kauai's south shore. Let this be your home away from home. This 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom cottage has a fully stocked kitchen with granite counter tops and island style living room. Private attached garage to park your car, 2 beach cruiser bicycles available to explore along the nearby bike path. Enjoy your own outdoor shower to wash Poipu's sand off your feet. You will clearly experience how much thought and love went into the design of this cottage. Book your stay at Hale Minoaka and make your stay a memorable one!

This is a strictly non-smoking property. The accommodation is designed for adult comfort and is not child-proofed.

PLAN ACCORDINGLY: We are not able to grant early check-ins and/or later check-outs in advance. Should you need to guarantee additional time in the unit, we do suggest booking the additional night to accommodate this.

Destination Kauai is a locally owned and family operated company. We offer contactless check-in for a seamless arrival. A 15% deposit is due at the time of booking. Refundable security deposit applies. We are committed to clean - this unit is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized for every guest arrival.

Additional guests and gatherings are not allowed.

We recommend soaking in the sun and enjoying the beautiful outdoors that Kaua'i has to offer. But if you need to stay connected, free wireless internet is provided.

For your convenience, we provide some beach gear for your use: boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, small cooler, and beach towels.
We also provide a starter supply of amenities and toiletries (soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, detergents).

Experience nice tropical breezes and a gorgeous mountain view back drop. This house is in a great location on the South Shore of Kauai in Poipu Beach, within a short walking distance to sandy beaches, Kukuiula & Poipu Shopping Villages and adjacent to the Kiahuna Golf Course. Just 1/2 mile to the renowned Poipu Beach: great for swimming, snorkeling, and boogie boarding.

So peaceful……
Quiet neighborhood with many cul-de-sacs; makes it perfect for a sweet bike ride with the bikes provided in the garage. The place is so clean and new. Just perfect. Slept with the windows open and awoke to the birdsong. We walked 10 minutes each morning to the Sheraton for breakfast which was fantastic. We stopped to view ocean afterwards. ❤️

Clean, modern, well kept, beach toys and bikes were a bonus, walk, drive or bike to beaches, multiple shopping and dinning opportunities close by. Don't want a resort... Stay here!

3 Day Stay
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in April and enjoyed our stay! The place was clean and the hosts were very nice. They gave us a wonderful dinner recommendation and even gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate our honeymoon! The highlight of the accommodations was the two cruiser bikes available. They made it easy to bike down to the beach, grab some breakfast at "Little Fish" down the road, or explore the area. Something that we would have liked to have had with our accommodations was a few more smaller amenities. Things like a full spice rack, more cooking dishes, a full size shampoo/conditioner, sunscreen, etc... These were common items at some of our other stays in Hawaii and were anticipated when staying at a detached property with a full kitchen. Another thing to note is the privacy component of the stay. Personally, we did not have any issues with privacy, However, the cottage is a stand alone building that is surrounded by housing on all sides and you share the outdoor property with the host family. In my opinion, I think the listing does not accurately depict the level of development around the cottage. With that said, everyones definition/expectation of privacy is a bit different. Overall, we would recommend staying at the cottage!

Perfect peaceful paradise near the beach
What a great little property. Architecturally the home is perfect, with a nice bedroom, living room area and a beautiful kitchen. My only disappointment is that we did not use the kitchen to cook up some of the amazing fresh fish and Okinawan sweet potatoes. Every incidental needed for our stay was there, soaps, tp, laundry detergent, etc...The neighborhood is around the corner from the main road but very quiet and a nice place to walk in the morning. It is centrally located to most of the things you want to do on the South shore. When we go back we would definitely pick Hale Minoaka. Be sure to check out Little Fish nearby for breakfast but be aware, the line forms early!

We had an excellent stay at this VRBO. The house is lovely and just as described (no A/C but this didn’t really turn out to be much of a problem, they have lots of fans and it wasn’t too hot during our visit). Easy location to shops and beach, clear check in instructions. Very happy with our stay!
