This is our preferred hotel in KL but sadly, we see a drop in standard. Firstly, we were quite disappointed with the room given to us - the smallest we had over the years of staying there! We did not want to bother the staff for a change as it wasn't really a big deal. Check-in was easy and quick.
Next, the room itself needs a make-over. Bed was comfy but the pillows (although clearly marked soft and firm on the pillow cases) need to be retired - we really could not tell the difference between the two! Bath towels need to be retired as well - they've started fraying at the ends so did not look so pleasant. Could we at least be given 2 hand towels in the bathroom? Not sure if we're supposed to share the one piece that is given?! Also, there was only one pair of bedroom slippers - shouldn't it be 2 pairs? To be fair, one more pair appeared the next day! Of course, we know we could have made requests to housekeeping, but shouldn't these be quite a standard thing?
We're grateful for the sahur spread each night; if I can remember my previous stays, it looks like the sahur spread is a scaled-down version of the morning breakfast? Couldn't find sausages, yoghurt, pancakes.
We would probably continue to stay here when we are in KL next time as the hotel location is excellent.
