"We loved the onsen experience. We had never done it before and they had a “lesson” for onsen etiquette which was helpful. It was very clean and relaxing. It was nice to have a free ice cream every day after bathing at the onsen, and fun to walk around the property in our hotel robes. The only issue we had was 2 little kids running around and talking loudly in the onsen bath area which was disruptive, but not the hotel’s fault. "

"I loved this hotel, wish I could stay longer. Lovely common areas to relax both indoors and outdoors, free drinks and snacks, alcoholic at night, as well as a lovely array of desserts in the evening. Everyone walking around in their yukatas provided by the hotel gives a very relaxing vibe. I enjoyed both the communal (had it to myself) and private onsens. It was nice that the private pnsen had a window to see nature outside. The outdoor terrace with footbath was also lovely, with comfortable seating. My room was simple, quiet, and clean (futons) in West building. Great location 5 minutes walk from Gora station. "

"The room was cozy, the outdoor Onsen was fantastic. We love the privacy and the Mountain View. The staff was well trained and extremely helpful, especially the food servers. We enjoyed every moment of our two night stay. One issue that can be improved is the lack of a shuttle service for the guests. The Ryokan is on a rather steep slope and dragging our luggage back and forth was a real choir. Difficult to get a taxi from the Ryokan and the shuttle bus was not readily available. The Ryokan should have a van and a driver to ferry people back and forth between the Ryokan and the town. Charge a bit more to cover the cost, we for one, will gladly pay for the convenience! Overall, well done, and thanks. "

"From the moment we stepped in, we felt a real sense of calm and care for detail. The service was fantastic and the check in was smooth. Our room was a was beautiful and spacious with clean and fresh feel. We would most definitely recommend this hotel to any travelers who appreciate the thought that has gone into this place.
