"This is a beautiful hotel. I cannot recommend it enough. The location is fantastic. The restaurant is small, but lovely. The staff was very professional. The only thing I didn't like was the spa music in the hall. It's rather loud and fills your hotel room. You're forced to listen to it. It started at 5 AM and woke me up. Thankfully, they shut it off when I asked. It was a bit odd; I paid for the rooms, but my slightly older friend was the one they handed a business card to and consulted. Overall, this is an extraordinary hotel. You're in your own private oasis amid a bustling tourist area. "

"It was incredibly convenient and comfortable to basically have my own apartment in a cozy neighborhood in north Kyoto, just a few miles from downtown and the main transit station. The amenities were more than adequate, and check-in and check-out were very easy. It was a joy to spend eleven nights there. Thank you, Ben!"

"Second time staying here in two years. Came here in 2024 for my first visit to Kyoto. Was so amazing I came back again. It did not disappoint once again. One of the cleanest places I have ever stayed in. Facilities, staff, food and cleanliness were all excellent. English speaking staff were very helpful and polite. Had breakfast one morning and was amazing. Coffee multiple mornings which were always perfect. Multiple shared bathrooms and showers on each floor that were always so clean that it felt brand new. Both the cafe downstairs and common area upstairs had amazing facilities and were always a great spot to hangout and relax. 2 minute walk from a bus station and 5 minute walk from a 711. Many restaurants nearby that were fantastic as we tried may. KéFU Stay will also give you recommendations to nearby locations. Only negative of our stay and mostly unique to our room as this is out of the staffs control. We were in room 205 next to the laundry facilities. They have notices for people to not use them between 10pm and 6am to not disrupt patrons. Unfortunately many people in multiple nights disregarded these condition and would use the laundry facilities until 1am and as early as 5am. Only mentioning as it did affect our sleep very much, so when you look to book here I would recommend requesting to not be next to the laundry as other patrons will potentially disregard any care for you sleep. Disregarding the negative above. Highly recommend and will be back!"

"Rooms were small and smelt bad. One room smelt of stale cigarette smoke. The other room had dreadful airfresheners plugged in. Not sure what it was trying to cover up. Too strong."

"Loved this traditional stay in Kyoto, the breakfast was great and the tub in the bathroom was so relaxing after a long day of walking. The only thing is if you don’t have a car rental it can be tricky planning your day based on the bus routes. The bus stop is only a minute walk away but if you miss a bus you may have to wait a while for the next one. Overall loved staying here!"
