A well-run economy hotel. Rooms are small but our suite gave us plenty of room. Housekeeping was excellent, as was the morning buffet breakfast. No concierge to help with reservations. Next to subway station and just two blocks from imperial palace. We always took taxis to and from hotel.

This place was an oasis for us after staying at an APA hotel in Tokyo. As American tourists we thought APA would be fine (it wasn't) so by the time we left Tokyo we were really hoping for a REAL hotel. And we got one in this Hyatt. It felt much higher end than we paid for it. Seriously, it's very nice inside and the room is spacious. Amenities were great and staff was super friendly. My in-laws are visiting Kyoto in September and we told them they have to stay at the Hyatt Place because of the price and how great it was overall. If I'd stayed here and didn't know the price, I probably would've expected it to be around 1.5-2x what I paid per night just based off of my travel experience in the US, Europe and including what we paid in Tokyo at APA (which I felt very ripped off). Stay here! You won't regret it!

This hotel is brand new with modern facilities and plenty amenities. The bedding and towels are very clean. The room is good & comfortable. The breakfast has many choices both American & Japanese. Subway is next to hotel as you come out of lobby so easy to go to tourist spots. Overall I will stay here again and will recommend to all my friends. Staff was very helpful to store luggage and lend umbrella.
