Clean double room, washroom was on the bigger side since the sink is located outside, free sake in the lobby, good location, friendly staff. The only thing was the AC wasn’t working well so our room was kind of warm and stuffy

Quiet location, wonderful and delicious, made-to-order breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We needed to ship our luggage to Matsumoto while we hiked the Nakasendo trail and the staff graciously filled out the freight form for us. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.

Breakfast is really good! And the place very convenient and comfy.
Such a lovely hotel. The vegan breakfast set was fantastic and so were the free daily sake samples. My room was clean and bright and the staff were all so lovely. Highly recommended.
Great breakfast, great rooms with comfortable rooms, very nice aircon, and amenities. Staff is extremely friendly, and helpful. Loved my stay there.
In evenings they offer free sake which is a pelasant bonus!
Location is very cental.
Very helpful staff rooms are very clean and there is a nice sitting area in the lobby that serves food and drinks. The neighborhood is full of interesting little restaurants and it is not far from many of the major attractions. The hotel is a great value for the price.
This is a great hotel. A short walk to the markets and other areas of interest. The staff were helpful and very friendly

Welcoming hotel with good amenities.
imu hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a good location close to a subway station. It was very clean and quiet. The free coffee and sake was a nice touch.
Wow, what an amazing little hotel! We booked two rooms for our family of 4 to explore Kyoto. When we arrived we received a warm welcome and were able to leave our luggage locked in a secure location until check in time. We were offered free coffee, tea and water in the lobby. The rooms were sparkling clean. Yes, the rooms were small, but we believe that is typical in Japan. We are always more concerned about cleanliness anyway. And again, this place is spotless. We even had air purifiers in our rooms. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Lots of options (even western options). Subway was close (about a 6 min walk)for moving around Kyoto. The only somewhat downfall is that hotel isn’t as central as others in the area. However, the cleanliness of the room, great service and amazing breakfast made up for the location. We would definitely recommend the Imu Hotel in Kyoto.
Lovely relaxed and friendly vibe at this compact, well-located hotel. Easy access from Shiju station. Lots of dining options nearby, and good food at the hotel. The free sake tasting and happy hour prices were a bonus. Families with children seemed welcomed and catered for.
Amazing hotel with really good amenities and really friendly staff. Free sake in the lobby for hotel guests too!
It's a bit further out from Gion, but it makes up for it being really close to a train station and with really nice little restaurants and cafes in the side streets nearby.
For what we paid, I highly recommend staying here.
Really nice and clean hotel. The room is about small, but pretty standard for Japan. Free sake in the bar and free water and coffee. Freindly staff and very quiet!
Child friendly with a small tatami area for kids play. Equipped with toys, stuffed toys, games and books for young ones.
Good breakfast too.
The loft doesn't have an extra bed, but more of a playing/sitting area.
Friendly place close to Shijo subway. Breakfasts were nice, rooms a little hot and small, would be good if you could open windows. Communal area really hip and food and cocktails were good value. Would recommend
Best hotel I stayed! Lovely breakfast choice! Room is reasonable side in Japan standard! Walking distance to public transit. The only thing was the breakfast area has a strong smell from cooking but hotel provides refresher!
