I wish I did not have to write this review as I would like to keep this place hidden. We had a wonderful stay here. The staff was very helpful. The rooms nice. The breakfast buffet amazing. The dinner not-so-great, but really who goes to a hotel for dinner? The happy hour was great when combined with all the soft seating and socializing. The architecture was super-cool with the hotel open to the elements, but designed so that you never got wet. I'd certainly stay here again!

Comfortable room, great breakfast buffet, and very nice coffee and tea available at most times. Laundry room. I like to grind my own coffee and they have stands with grinders to make fresh brews.

We loved this hotel. The location right near Kyoto Station is perfect for getting around the city. They offer a lovely drink every evening and a delicious breakfast with Western and Eastern foods. They have a public bath facility (which we didn't use) and massage chairs which were amazing after walking around all day. They also offer drip coffee and tea and coffee machines all day. The rooms are quite small and have very little storage space, but we spent very little time in our room, so it was fine.

Spacious room, well laid out, clean, lovely deep tub for bath, great water pressure for shower. Husband enjoyed the onsen facilities. Nice to have a private deck area. Took advantage of the laundry facilities as well. Great breakfast in the restaurant with both Japanese and western cuisines. Very close walk to train station which has a very high variety of shops and food venues. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I would stay here again! Thanks for the lovely stay!

This was one of the best stays I’ve ever had. The property was clean and had great amenities. The staff was helpful, friendly and attentive. The rooms were nice and it was close to everything I needed as well as the train station. All in all I would definitely recommend.

It's hard to believe this hotel has only three stars! It's wonderful. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast buffet has an enormous variety of choices covering many cuisines, you get a free welcome drink every evening, and there is a public bath at the hotel. We loved soaking in the Japanese-style bath each evening and following that with the sauna.

Our hotel experience was amazing at the Sakura Terrace The Gallery. The rooms were big, clean, easy to access, and the staff were helpful with everything we needed. The only small complaint I have is the laundry service was rather limited, leaving long wait times in between guest usage. Other than that, and the price being a bit high, I rather enjoyed my nights at this hotel!

Super hotel very close to the train and bus station (5 min walk). The communal areas were beautifully decorated and nice to spend the start of end to a day in. Rooms were much bigger than Japanese standard and clean and well appointed. Staff were all terrific and with good English. Extra bonus points for the complimentary morning pour-over coffee and daily free ‘welcome’ drink. 10/10 would stay again if in Kyoto!

This place was a bit of a disappointment. We booked due to the good reviews, however there better options. The WiFi in the room was only 1 mbps speed, very slow. If you are traveling and need to work you cannot do it at this hotel. I had delay work until leaving the accommodation. The pillows in the room were some of the worst out of anywhere I’ve stayed in my many travels. The lobby was fairly cozy with a free drink. However the breakfast and dinner at the hotel were below average. Overall was surprised by the experience since the reviews were so good. I would look else where if you can.

The property is generally a tourist hotel. Very convenient to Kyoto Station. The rooms are TINY but there is a balcony, almost unheard of with hotels in Japan, so you can get fresh air easily. The breakfast is INCREDIBLE with something for everyone. We didn’t need lunch as the breakfast fueled us up for the day. The evening free cocktail is also quite nice. All in all a nice hotel for the value.

This hotel was only a block from Kyoto station. It has many food and drink options near the hotel as well. Rooms were very comparable to a hotel room back in the USA, good sized with extra couch etc.

Built for summer, the common areas are outside, including all the room accesses face the open sky interior courtyard where they play music. We were there in late March, it was raining and we were cold in the room (no heating, minimal blankets). No storage in the bedroom to unpack, you have to stay in your suitcases. Very friendly and accommodating staff, great location a few steps from the train station which connects to everywhere in Kyoto.

Very pleasant staff and nice property. Weather was poor so could not enjoy the open gallery and no where else to sit to enjoy our welcome drink. Rooms clean and well equipped. Only issue was restaurant as there was not enough rooms for our group one person stayed in sister hotel done street but we were told he was not allowed to have dinner with us as restaurant was only for hotel guests. We tried to argue that 4 of us were in the hotel and he was in sister hotel of same chain but they would not bend rules so we never had our breakfasts or dinner there as we wanted to eat as family. Other thing is people need to be ware of a gutter running around railing. When stepping from stairway platform to hallway platform there is a height difference and 10 cm gutter. A number of us tripped on it was it was dark when we arrived and it is not visible. I fell breaking my glasses and giving myself a black eye! Otherwise very nice place to stay.

The place where this hotel located was really close to Kyoto station, only 2-3 minutes walk. But also stands in a quite place ( I am a light sleeper). Staff are nice. The decorations are beautiful and natural, free welcome drink everyday, and they even got live band from Mon to Sat. So impressive! Wonderful experience!

This hotel was top notch. Welcome drinks, tea and hand ground coffee station- it doesn’t get much better. Loved the amount of sunlight this spot gets, live music & clean. Will be back for sure.

Really nice hotel but silly design!
This hotel is really nice and I imagine would be amazing in the summer. The main flaw is that there is no roof to the lobby area and it is absolutely freezing down there! You get a free drink every night which is lovely but you have to drink it in the freezing cold lobby... The room was lovely and the breakfast and restaurant were great. I would return even though it is cold!

We stayed here for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From check in to check out, everything was seamless. The rooms are clean, location is a five minute walk to Kyoto Station and many extra amenities that made our stay extra enjoyable: the welcome drink each night, coffee/tea station and the onsen onsite and massage chairs were so nice after a long day of walking! We had the breakfast buffet once during our stay and it was delicious, a nice east meets west variety of foods. The staff were super helpful with our questions and helped coordinate our luggage to be forwarded to our next hotel. Overall the hotel has a very chill, modern vibe. Highly recommend and we will definitely stay here again!

It was interesting that the hotel had a roof-less design, common areas were out in the open. It was warm in winter, and there was also a fireplace to huddle by. Complimentary drinks were aplenty, there was even coffee beans that you can choose from to grind and make a fresh cup of drip coffee.

Excellent location 2 blocks from train station but in a quiet neighborhood. Rooms are ok in size but slightly worn. Hotel itself is modern, breakfast buffet is outstanding! The onsen is nice too.
