The Tatami experience was great although was not expecting the very thin futons to sleep on the floor. Be mindful of that!! The employees gave us extra futons which helped , but was never like a regular mattress. There is an actual landury with a washer and dryer in place to complete you own laundry.

The property is about 7min from the nearest subway station. It is located a couple subway stops away from shopping stores and restaurants, and Kyoto Station. The hotel stored our luggage after check-out so we could get to see the city before we had to go. The room was spacious and could keep 4 suitcases open at the same time.

DO NOT STAY!!!! The guy working in the lobby/reception is rude, combative, yelling and harassing. He wanted to kick us out for being approx 10 minutes late with a 1 year old baby out in the cold without allowing him to get dressed (we were mostly packed). Then was yelling at us on multiple occasions. TERRIBLE customer services. Better - super scary, combative, super RUDE. DO NOT STAY HERE, UNSAFE! Also, they do not ever clean anything.

We stayed in the signature family suite with 5 beds. We had a great stay there! We loved the layout and the modern design mixed with traditional elements. Pros: spacious room for large families, spacious washroom, generally clean, quiet, staff speaks English, relaxing atmosphere. Cons: small elevator (only 1), a bit of a walk to subway, there is a bus stop in front but Kyoto busses can get very crowded. We don't mind walking so not a big issue for us. Definitely would stay there again!

It’s basically an upscale hostel. Staff is full of English speaking foreigners who like to be left alone and quick to say “no” to requests. The “Hotel” doesn’t offer anything, just a couple of q-tips, comb and slippers. Luggage service is next door, they don’t help with that either. Location is ok, 10-15 min walk to station convenience store around the corner and a couple good restaurants close by. Room is super tight if you travel with a stroller, the 3 legged table was a hazard for my 1 and 3 yo. We stayed 7 days and they cleaned the room twice. Should have paid a bit more and stayed at an actual hotel.

The hotel was clean and spacious. We love that the bus stop is right outside of the hotel. The staff spoke English and are very friendly. I would stay there again.

We booked a room with the tatami and it was a unique place to stay! It was very spacious and includes complimentary amenities. Although there was no floor chairs (based on the photos), it was overall an enjoyable stay!

It’s okay for a short stay for the price point. Space was smaller than expected, elevator included. But staff was very accommodating and it’s walkable to anything, can’t complain. Their comforters are the best!

Love this hotel! We stayed at the Japanese Family room. It was clean and spacious and the decor made us really feel we were in Japan lol. The staff was helpful and friendly. We took bus 50 most of the time but the subway wasn’t that far either.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had 4 people in our group and booked the extra large tatami room. It was a tight fit for 4 adults, it could fit 3 but more comfortable for 2. Washroom was small so if you are a taller or larger person, it’s also a tight fit

A lovely little hotel around 20 minutes walk from Kyoto station. It was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to store our cases with them on the day we left so we could have an extra day around Kyoto

This was a very nice hotel with a good mix of modern and traditional Japanese style room. We had a room for 5 people and it was very spacious. The lighting in the room is very elegant and pleasant. The balcony is a nice space as well. It was very convenient that they have a microwave and laundry service on the first floor. The staff is very nice and accommodating. It was in a good location to many popular places. There are many good restaurants around as well

Bus 50 from Kyoto station stops right outside of the hotel. Many convenient stores around. Short walk to Nishiki Market. Bathroom is very small, other than that, good experience sleeping on futons/tatami floor.

Changed rooms after finding hair on the floor and the futons. Second room had even more hair, and food remains on the floor. Definitely can’t recommend to anyone.

저렴한 일본전통스타일호텔
트리플룸에 묵었는데 다다미바닥에 요셋트였어요 침대가 아니어도 허리아프지않고 편하게 잤어요 작은 좌식테이블도 있어서 숙소에 간단하게 술과 음식즐기기에 편리했어요 프런트직원분들이 서양인이어서 영어를 잘하시니 편리했어요 편의점이 도보5분정도이고 버스정류장은 바로앞입니다

部屋自体も美しく、清潔であり、webサイトの写真で確認した以上の部屋でした。京都に行くときは、また使用してもいいと思います。あえて言えば、非常に広い部屋なのに、照明のスイッチを部屋全体のコントロールしかなく、ワーキングデスクのスペースなどの分散照明は必要だと思います。また、水回りに電源がないので、ドライヤーなどの使用が不便でした。
